WOODPECKER Nakijin

I knew this place was going to be special before I even arrived. I'm not even sure how I found this hidden gem, but intense research off the grid of TripAdvisor found me here. My boyfriend and I spent 1 glorious night at this adorable RV hotel near the beach. I wish I would have stayed longer! The RV was HUGE -- we were in A18 and it was fairly close to the beach. It was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. It was equipped with a small fridge, sink, table, 2x full size beds, shower, toilet and TV. Each RV has a little porch and sitting area outside too. They have a restaurant, but we opted to order the Mixed BBQ plate which comes with a very generous amount of meats, seafoods and veggies that you grill yourself. They provide a bbq grill and the utensils to grill on the covered patio overlooking the ocean. We chose to do this at sunset around 7pm and it was the most perfect time and meal, accompanied by some beers we purchased from their cafe. After stuffing our faces we visited their onsen bath area -- which was of course separated by mens and women. It was very clean and had great bathing products too. Again, no one was there so we got to enjoy by ourselves. Note -- there were people and a family at the resort at the time but I think this place is a lot more chill and they were sleeping since this bath closes at 10pm. The beach area is GORGEOUS and much more sandy than other beaches I've experienced in Okinawa. It felt like our own private beach, as no one was around. Next door is the "Cafe on the Beach" also just FYI (I saw a lot of good TA reviews!). The pool was great too -- very clean but a little warm temperature. It is pretty shallow so its more suited for children. The location itself is in beautiful Nakajin -- very close drive to the castle ruins and other points of interest such as Emerald Beach or a short drive to Kouri Island. There was a very cute local market too just down the street that we got snacks from. All in all, I hope to come here again and would bring my entire family! It is a great place for young, old, and families.

메뉴가 다양하진 않았는데, 여기에서 최초로 타코라이스를 먹었습니다. 그 다음날 시내에서 타코오므라이스를 먹었던걸 생각하면 평균적인 맛은 나오는것 같습니다. 일본인데 일본같지 않은 미묘한 캠핑장 분위기가 기분 좋았습니다. 오키나와 북부를 여행하실 일이 있다면 한번쯤 숙소로 써도 좋을듯 합니다. 위치가 시내와는 크게 떨어져있는게 약점이긴 합니다. 숙소로서 가격은 낮지 않습니다. 캠핑카와 바베큐가 있는 독특한 숙소입니다.
