booked a room for 3 and got a queen + single bed. due to peak season, we managed to book a room but at holiday rates. well, when we arrived, the picture actually looked newer and better than the actual hotel itself. it is an old building, refurbished into a hotel. however, it is clean and has all basic necessities. The aircond in our room seemed a little old and may need to be serviced. although it took some time to cool the room, but it was cold enough later. tv reception is bad. however, it is within walking distance (5 minutes) from popular eateries. there is a famous legendary 'lao shu fen' shop right opposite which opened only at night, and down the road there is a famous tau fu fah shop. which is worth the wait if the queue is not too long.
overall, it was a fine stay. may try a different hotel next time unless it is a budget trip or if the hotel offers good promotion.
oh and,our doorbell rang at 1am right before i went to bed. went to check, but didn't see a thing. they should at least put a peeping hole to allow guests to see who is at the door for better security.
