Main gate was not working with automated door, thus owner suggested we use the side door, so could not park car inside the car pouch. No toiletries, tissue papers nor toilet papers were provided, so we need to make a trip to buy them. Not enough towels were provided subsequently had to call owner to provide in the night (after he asked many questions), where he came and left in a rush, probably in fear that we might raise more issues discovered in the house. Many of the areas were not thoroughly cleaned up i.e. front door area, the front pouch (lots of leaves, rocks, sand, etc) - we had to do self-cleaning eventually to make our living environment pleasant for the next 2 days..
There was a protruding nail (2 cm) on the 3rd floor of the parquet floor, not obvious by sight, however as I was inspecting the house (since we had children), and stepped on it, was glad that i managed not hurt myself too bad. I had to put a tape over it to caution everyone. Pipes were dripping so we hear water tickling sound every were in the house… probably not well maintained. All the kitchen bathroom, shower screen, sink etc were poorly maintained, not cleaned, the common toilet on the 2nd floor had missing toilet roll holder. One of the dinning room’s chair seems to be slightly sunk in although we sat on it. All the kitchen’s knives are blunt and unstable… Washing bay area’s light was not working therefore we had a hard time when we needed to use the washing machine in the evening… Subsequently on the last day, one of the toilet on the 3rd floor’s room was faulty, could not even utilise the flush system anymore and all the debris were left in stuck in the bowl which was truly disgusting… Another strange management is owner controlled all room’s aircon remote control, and there is only 1-2 aircon remote control for a villa that has about 7 rooms…. absolutely doesn’t make any practical sense specially when you want to adjust temperature or movement of fan. As you can probably expect, there was no make up villa services offered even though we were there for 2 days. We had to clean up the place on our own the next day to upkeep the cleanliness.
No professionalism to be punctual when his clients are already present @ his place, and he was still at least 1.5 hours late. He claimed he offers no 5 star hotel service as he cannot afford to due to high business cost, although he has advertised his villa as 5 star standard in your booking portal.surprisingly at this time of the century, this villa has no wi-fi provided…. Only after much coaxing, Dan Lim brought some router the next day and asked us to set it up on our own.
Owner’s way of handling his client’s deposit, swinging from one verdict to another deduction is simply unprofessional, really displaying his dishonest and cheating behaviour which is unacceptable. He did not provide us a checklist of items for pre-verification upon arrival, how is it now fair that we have to compensate him a chair that is already half broken and many things in the house that is dysfunctional ?
maid cleaning service was slipshot and pathetic , probably not given enough time to clean up the entire villa, since handover from one guest to another was too short, and she already handed over the keys to us when she saw our arrival.
