This is a beautiful,1906 hotel that has been maintained its historic floors, metal post and iron works, and general appearance. The breakfast was nice and the lounge was open with drinks and snacks all day. The people were very helpful and did their best to make our stay happy! We recommend it!

We stayed there for 4 days 3 nights for our anniversary. The hotel staff were very nice and thoughtful. Albert, David and Chris made sure we were well taken care of. They were very polite and professional. The surroundings are quiet at night to ensure a good sleep. The hotel itself is amazingly photogenic and elegantly fragrant. The room was very comfortable. I have chronic insomnia but i slept like a baby for all 3 nights. I highly recommend it and thank you all for your hospitality.

The Edison is a comfortable friendly boutique style hotel with a modern colonial vibe. Very well located in the heart of heritage Georgetown. Decor is elegant and understated. The real strength of the place though is the staff. Really nice service at all terms. Friendly and seemingly informal but ever helpful and anticipating needs, with nothing ever too much trouble. My stay was for 6 nights and it never faltered and if anything just kept on getting better. If you have mobility issues be sure to ask for a downstairs room as there are mo lifts. Only slight quibble was that wifi data rates were patchy. But overall it’s strongly recommended.

This is an absolute gem in Penang. It's a stunning converted mansion full of history and charm. Even better, it's a great location- we walked everywhere we wanted to get to within 25 minutes of the property. But the real amazing thing was the staff. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. They took time to sit down with us and create an itinerary to experience George Town in our short stay, had restaurant recommendations to experience local cuisine, and an amazing lounge with complimentary juices and snacks. It's easily one of the, if not the, best experiences I've had with hotel staff anywhere. If you're staying in Pengang, this is the place.

The hotel is reasonably small so you get personal service. It is located in a convenient location for restaurants and an easy walk into town. The facilities were very good and the staff were extremely helpful. Nothing was too much effort. A great place to stay in an interesting town.
