Dar Diafa provided an excellent final night stay in Morocco — spacious accommodations, superb food and proximity to the Casablanca airport. Both lunch and dinner were some of the best food we experienced in all of Morocco.

We were here for a 24 hour layover and everything has been so relaxing. We were welcomed graciously with Moroccan tea, enjoyed the lounge areas, and ate a delicious authentic meal. About 30 mins from airport. Perfect place to rest and recharge.

I always travel for my birthday and this was my first time in Casablanca. Firstly I want to say is that I had read the reviews after I booked on Expedia. When we arrived we were greeted by Rachid, he was helpful and spoke to us in English and Spanish, which is our native languages. The Riad is approximately 25 to 30 minutes from the airport depending on traffic. The approximate cost is approximately 250 Dirham which is $25. If you get picked up at airport by a random taxi driver it will cost you between $45 and $50 USD. I suggest you send a message to Dar Diafa and have them send a cab for you so your not struggling to get a cab. The reason I say struggle is because cab drivers are not the same there as here and most will tell you no on bringing you where you want to go because they want to stay within in certain route. I suggest once you arrive at Dar Diafa that you schedule your taxi rides with the Dar Diafa staff to ensure you have a taxi and a reasonable fare. Dirham rate was 9.50 per US $1.00. Make sure you check the rates daily. For breakfast at Dar Diafa you can tell them what you want the night before. You will be served a Moroccan breakfast of different typical Moroccan breads, jam, juice, tea, coffee and cheese. My husband likes eggs sunny side up and I suggest you try the Shoshuka for breakfast. We had the vegetarian Tagine and it was delicious, I highly recommend having dinner there because the food is delicious and fairly priced equal to the upscale restaurants in Morocco.

I stayed here one night with my father as we had an early flight the next day back to Canada and I was told it was near the airport. PROS: -Good wifi one of the best wifi I have experienced in morroco -rooms are decent size CONS: -the location is very very hard to find - our cab driver had a very hard time, it is almost like you have to ask them to pick you up but they charge you at a very high rate for a pick up -the room was dusty and wasn't the cleanest -location is horrible it literally has nothing around it don't expect to go out just stay in the hotel -the worst thing for me was the experience with the worker staff named Rashid - he really needs to work on his people skills I don't know if it is a language barrier or if he is simply an angry person - every question I had he had a very quick answer and really lacks in hospitality skills considering the business he is in. This really left a bad impression. -the owner was friendlier and easier to talk to. -the price for the dinner there is very expensive 200 dirham per person - eat out before going there - they know there is nothing really around there so they jack up the prices. -overall I wouldn't recommend this place for the value that I paid I was expecting a lot more. -you must pay in cash they don't have any credit card machine. DONT KNOW WHAT TO MAKE OF THIS -So I had booked a cab to take me to the airport the next day and the cab never showed up - so the owner offered to drive me and my father himself to the airport. -keep in mind the location is near the airport. -when I asked the owner how much it cost he said 300 dirham when in the booking sheet it said 25 euros airport transfer which is 275 dirham - so I don't know what to make of this situation on one hand I appreciate the owner offering to drive me but on the other hand I definitely feel I was ripped off by the owner with an increase in price and I think he knew we were pretty desperate for a cab ride to the airport at 6 am in the morning. so I don't really know what to make of this situation. either way I wouldn't recommend this place at all. the place is suppose to be close to the airport unsure why the cost to the airport is still so high. stay away from the place.

Great place. Quiet rooms. Nice pool. Good breakfast. Very atmospheric. However, slightly far from the water front or city center. But taxis are available. Don't attempt to walk to the center. We did it one day. Way too far for walking.
