Our only criticism of Monte DiVino lodge was that we only had one night here. We were greeted at our room with an iced tea as we arrived and were informed that our room had been upgraded for free. The room was beautiful with an outdoor shower and incredibly stunning views over the vineyard. We were given a private tour of the vineyard and tasting. The wine was good, not great but still very enjoyable to sip as you watched the sun set. We had a table in the pond area overlooking the vineyard for dinner, which was equally stunning. The staff were very attentive and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The perfect stay.

We booked the deluxe lodge for 150$/night and were more disappointed than happy. + great location of the bungalow + great views + really nice architecture and wooden construction + very friendly staff BUT - from 8a.m. to 5p.m. there is a loud generator operating in the vineyard. so if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in this bince bungalow - forget it! sure there has work to be done in the vineyard, but why don't they cover up this generator with some sort of noise cancellation material? - the bungalow needs maintenance. there are a lot of details which needs a refresh. this doesn't bother me normally but for a price tag of 150$??? - no water at first, we called, they fixed it, then again no water, they fixed it again. in the morning only cold water and a broken telephone so no chance to call... 150$ are you serious???

Great views over winery like California. Cant believe its Burma. Nice service too and very affordable restaurant since mostly caters to locals now. May saw, the manager is very nice and helped arrange driver to airport and pindaya caves for k25,000 and k50,000 each. Hans, the German wine maker and manager is helpful too. Only 3 villas but will add more. A bit far from Inle Lake and nyaushwe but closer to airport. Try it!

We decided to stay here for one night and to take up the offer of a free wine tasting that the vineyard offers. Firstly the room. The view over the vineyard is lovely. One side of the lodge is all glass with two large doors opening out onto a balcony, so you get to see the gardens and part of the vineyard from your room. It was lovely to go to sleep seeing the distant twinkle of lights from the nearby village and then to wake up the next day to the sun shining through the mist. The bedroom is all wood and there is a massive double bed, the most comfortable bed that we slept in so far on our trip around Myanmar. Fresh fruit was provided in the room, along with a stocked mini bar including full bottles of wine made at the Vineyard. The bathroom is large with a good rain shower and all the usual amenities that you require. You have to choose your breakfast the night before from a choice of 5 items. I choose the Shan Noodle Soup which was delicious, it was so tasty that when I was offered a second bowl I quickly said yes. My wife had scrambled eggs with veg and toast. You get water, coffee and fruit with your breakfast. The restaurant also has incredible views over the garden area and vineyard. After breakfast we were given a tour of the vineyard. We did the wine tasting in the evening before our dinner. You get to sample 4 different wines that are grown and produced at the vineyard. The waiter explained each wine and was able to answer our questions. This was followed by a good meal. For two courses and a bottle of wine it cost 42,000 Kyats which is very good value. The only downside to the lodges is the fact that to get to the restaurant you have to walk along a dark stretch of road, so remember to take the torch from your lodge with you. We forgot but were provided with one to help us find our way back. Overall the lodge is a good place to stay and experience the wines of Myanmar.

Everybody dreams of waking up in the midst of lush greenery all around in front of you in a room covered with glass with all modern amenities. This place is really worth it if you want to just relax for the weekend or whenever you have time. They don't have TV but i would say they have some of the best views and a place where you just sit and relax with your latest mystery potboiler. The staff is very friendly and wishes to accomplish all your demands. The food is excellent and the restaurants are always working at full capacity.
