Protea Hotel Windhoek Fürstenhof

Though a little difficult to find due to subtle signage, worth the effort. Friendly staff, lovely rooms and excellent location. One night we had no hot water and another night a week later we had lukewarm water, despite this would still recommend this hotel.

Brand new facility ! Clean modern design. Internet is available no hassle there ! Rooms re clean and the rate is affordable.No Exeter am noise to disrupt your sleep. Please take your water in the nearest Mall.The complimentary water is only given upon check in.Temperatures are high.Except this point to be resolved by management....For the food I advise Sea food ! Marvelous ♥️♥️♥️

3rd or 4th time here & the last, I’m a Marriot member & do bookings online with the app & saying double bed but in fact there’s no double beds they take 2 single beds & put together. Anyway breakfast starts at 06:30 but chef well you need to shout to the kitchen to get them to do anything...eventually come out that’s every morning. Secondly found hair bathroom towels as well as in the bedding & that has happened in my 2nd visit too. Otherwise room space good but thin walls can hear your neighbors. I’ve traveled around & to say these hotels in Namibia fall under the Protea names is bad, the not so good out of other proteas I’ve been to. Can you spot the hair in the picture 🤪 & I’m bald.

My trip to this hotel was business-related where the hotel suited my needs. My only issues were the AC unit that was overwhelmed to maintain a proper temperature within the room. The food was very good, this included dinner and breakfast. If I am going to come to Windhoek again, I think that I will stay somewhere a bit more updated just as a personal preference.

We stayed on 14 June 2019 for 1 night. Struggled a bit to find hotel but once there things improved. Reception very friendly and of course wifi was included. Had a few drinks at the bar then had some dinner , waitress also very friendly and dinner was good. Even though icecream was not on the desert menu they arranged some for us. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the city centre and close to a Mall. was also easy to get on to the B1 from the hotel to head north to Etosha Pan. Check out was also quick & simple.The room was spacious and a big bathroom area. Good for a short stay.
