A strange set-up to have 2 hotels of the same group and almost same name on the same plot - can be confusing. The rooms were large and with aircon and a nice bathroom but the decor is dated. The cafe and pool were closed during our stay so not much space to entertain oneself and meet friends without crossing the car park to the sister hotel. Need taxis to travel anywhere. Service not good compared to rest of experience across Namibia.

Enjoyed my stay for the conference. The hotel staff were very helpful. There is a van especially in the evening for those who want to go to the mall. The carpets need an overhaul. The conference rooms were fantastic

DISCLAIMER: Safari Hotels have two separate hotels at the location. One is a three star and the other is a four star. The former is called the Safari Hotel and the latter the Safari Court Hotel. There is obviously a cost difference between the two but they do share various facilities so if you have budget constraints then go for the cheaper option. It is OK but the rooms are a bit tired and in need of renovation. Service is good and the hotel does have an excellent conference venue and nice bars and restaurants. Next time I would stay in the Safari Court.

Today ended somewhat disappointing when we were told that only Hotel Guests may use the pool 🙈, by a “new” manager, assuming also he’s not a Namibian/local. Okay, ... I do agree that Hotel Pools are for guests only, and things can get out of hand when not controlled, but I behave myself, I enjoyed the Island Vacation feeling every time I visited the Hotel pool, I actually made sure about 2 years ago the Reception knew about what my plans were: they accepted and let me feel very welcome. We spent quite a bit on food and drinks next to the pool, regularly, and were given very good service by the very friendly staff. They made us feel welcome. Unfortunately this seemed to be my last visit to the hotel which broke our hearts, as a Manager decided it doesn’t suit! Visiting many Hotels and Guest Houses over a time period of many years, this was the most unwelcome feeling I ever felt. Well, to the staff of the Hotel Safari pool area: thanks for a very good time I had with you guys and girls, thanks for always serving us promptly and for your friendliness, the good food, the beers on hot summer days next to the pool. Thanks also to the staff at reception, all of you made us feel very welcome. Me and my family, and sometimes a friend joining us, will remember this. Unfortunately I cannot say this for the Manager whom I tried to explain this to. Is he Namibian??? He seemed quite irritated, blunt and demanding. I’ll probably never visit, nor propose the Hotel to anyone in future again: where does ons draw the line??? Competition is fierce in this low economic cycle experienced in Namibia: shouldn’t (Namibian) consumers be feeling welcome while spending buckets of money in Namibian Dollars, or are International visitors, with US$, the only focus. Other Namibian Hotels do the contrary! Even at their pool areas. Fortunately I travelled a lot and know what it is to be served and feeling welcome or at home. Therefore the reason for my low rating! The Rest is 4-5 out of 5!!!

We had our annual referees society annual general meeting here and this place offers a conducive environment for such events. There are a series of conference rooms with clear names and their markings to make sure no client gets lost
