We spent three nights at this simple, yet very comfortable, clean and convenient small hotel, along with several friends. The room was well appointed and the bed comfortable. We could see the Annapurna range from our third floor balcony (when the weather cooperated) and the hotel was a short walk from lake Tara and a variety of restaurants. The breakfast was very good and varied each day (great oatmeal). Other meals were also excellent.
Our experience on our last day, though, demonstrated the quality and care of the staff. I slipped coming out of the bathroom and severely broke my ankle. The hotel owner/manager drove my wife and me to an emergency clinic and then to a teaching hospital. He stayed with us through the whole ordeal translating as needed and even paying all our bills (I reimbursed him). Then he drove us to meet the rest of our group at the airport.
Although not the way we would have chosen to end our trip to a Pokhara, the staff’s kindness endeared us to this hotel. We hope to return one day.
