Lovely stay in Kathmandu. Clean and comfortable room with private bathroom, hot shower, A/C and very nice reception staff. The only negative thing is that the WiFi reception is poor – sometimes it doesn’t even work. Would definitely recommend.

Newa home is really bad now they don’t have any ideas about how to run business they are all new and they don’t respect for They don’t know anything just they look money they don’t have good service I don’t like at all the ower is really bad rounded he talk with me really bad words please don’t go this place too stays

We stayed at Newa Home back in March. We can honestly say it is the best place we have stayed, ever. Prem and his family are the nicest people we have met and you really feel like you are staying with friends and family. Nothing is too much trouble and they really looked after us when my girlfriend became ill, even switching our room so we were more comfortable. Thank you so much for such a great time, we miss Kathmandu and Newa home so so much and hope to be back next year!

I could not speak more highly about this hotel! I stayed here for 3 nights and were greeted with some of the best customer services. Not only did our host upgrade our room but he also provided some incredible food recommendations! I will definitely stay here again!

| The Short | The hotel was lovely and clean. Rooms are decently sized and comfortable. However, the management were unprofessional for the majority of our stay and customer service was lacking at times. |The Long| Located not far from the heart of Thamel it is situated up a side street (the signage for the property needs to point the right way and be clearer). When we arrived we asked to see rooms they were clean and beds were comfy. We asked about prices for the rooms and we were quoted prices much higher than on Agoda. We showed them the online prices to which they showed us the 'correct' room but it wasn't (as it had no bathroom), and insisted this was the one listed on Agoda. They refused to accept that the prices on Agoda were correct. The hotel boasts a 24hr reception however, the front gates close at 10pm. We were not told about this and therefore were locked outside the hotel. After making some noise a guest from the hotel let us in. The hotel also losses interest in you if you do not want to book anything through them. We enquired about bus tickets and were quoted one price and as soon as we said no the staff were not interested in our other questions. There was no hot water on our first night in the property. We spoke to the hotel staff and the manager numerous times about this. The manager promised that it would be fixed and if not they would give us our first night free. When we came to settle the bill they wanted to charge us full price. I am not expecting the room for free but, there was a problem and it was not fixed and they were not interested in resolving this problem despite being reminded numerous times. When we pointed out the issues the manager called us a liar and said they had been resolved, which was untrue. We tried to discuss the numerous issues we had throughout our stay and even tried to offer advice on the hotel could improve as it was relatively new but the manager kept arguing and shouting. Our check out experience resulted in the owner being called in and discussing these issues in a calm and polite way and a slight reduction of our bill. Although the rooms were nice overall, the lack of customer service and professionalism heavily affected the enjoyment of our stay.

We stayed at Newa Home back in March. We can honestly say it is the best place we have stayed, ever. Prem and his family are the nicest people we have met and you really feel like you are staying with friends and family.
