The apartment was so dirty. Blood on the door to the toilet, wet bread on the ground, hairs on the ground, dirty plates in the cabinets. We called the reception and they just hang up. We walked to the reception and asked if someone could come clean but no one showed up. We cleaned ourself. Terrible experience. We asked via mail if we could have our money back that was still on our voucher which was already paid for cause we were not planning to use the voucher and visit again. They responded with: thank you for mailing us, here is another 80 euros to spend on your next stay. Ridiculous, they didn't even read our mail. WE DONT WANT TO GO BACK THERE. It's been almost 6 momths mailing back and forward. We will never get our unused money back. Don't go to Center Parcs.

We booked a last-minute stay. In spite of the discount, the rate was still pretty steep. We chose a regular cottage, expecting (given the reputation of Center Parcs) this would be OK. It was the worst we ever stayed in. It was about 20 minutes walk from the main area, which in itself was not too bad. But it was completely surrounded by trees, so we never got any sun on our terrace. We had the lights on most of the day. Interior rather shabby and worn-out. Lots of small things wrong, for which they sent a handyman within 2 hours of my complaint. He fixed most things. But the worst problem was the damp. Everything was cold and clammy, even the mattresses, which made for an uncomfortable sleep. And the sofa cushion stank, there was black mould everywhere, we even got a visit from some slugs. They totally ignored that part of my complaint, so I will write to them about it. I do know they are refurbishing cottages and cannot do them all at once of course. But they definitely should not have been renting this one out.

ABOUT CENTRE PARCS BOOKINGS FOR De Eemhof booked a holiday for this august but contacted CP and changed to next year all fine UNTIL I checked by credit card and they took full payment for the august 2020 holiday contacted them they admitted fault said they would refund me the 1136 euro they owed me that was on 20 june 2020 still waiting for money NOT GOOD ENOUGH

We went to Center Parcs de Eemhof with our family and really enjoyed ourselves. We were surprised when we got there, the outside of the cottages will throw you off, they have moss on them and leave a little bit to be desired, however the inside is beautiful clean and spacious. You need to be aware that you are located in a wooded area by river waters, and where the sun does not hit, there is moss. The location was beautiful and there is a great store there that has your necessities, however things are a little bit more expensive because of convenience, this is the same as any other touristy area that you go to. You can drive to grocery stores near by that have cheaper options for you.

Stayed in the Center Parcs De Eemhof with the Mrs and our two young kids. Was pleased that the price was much cheaper than the UK. The pool is absolutely fantastic and something I really loved is that the lifeguards were diligent but allowed the parents to make a judgement on whether the kids could do the slides/river rapids rather than a strict height cutoff. When we arrived at the accommodation I was really disappointed to see our ‘cottage’, as it was advertised on the website, was actually a squat, drab breeze block bungalow which was tiny and squeezed in with hundreds of others - but it really wasn’t all bad. Place was clean, warm and functional. The park is obviously making an effort to improve many of buildings and I’ve included a photo of the newly refurbished lodges. Our neighbours were a group of young Dutch lads who pumped out loud music until late. They were nice enough lads and when I knocked on the door at midnight they stopped the music right away. When I complained at the information desk a woman called Wendy was a star. She offered us an upgrade for a VIP Waterfront Apartment which was lovely. We had to cover a small amount of the extra charges but it was really great customer service and the apartments are really plush. The Action Factory is reasonable and all the kids performers make a real effort to translate as much as they can for those linguistically challenged like me. Soft play is good and parents can relax at the tables with waiter service while keeping an eye on the kids on the multilevel soft play. Overall an older Center Parcs site and a little run down in places but a fantastic pool, friendly and helpful staff and great customer service and still much cheaper than the UK.
