Arrived at the hotel after an overnight flight and a 11/2 hour, pleasant drive from Amsterdam. The hotel is located in one of the most commercial, tourist streets of Nijmegen, where you can find great coffee houses, super restaurants, close to the Waal River and the Walkaade and Casino.
In an amazing coincidence, the owner is a good friend of an old friend of mine, now living in Thailand.
The hotel is very, very quaint, exceedingly historical but also well appointed and very comfortable.
Interestingly enough, we were not disturbed by rowdy Nijmegen party goers as was my recollection from a long time ago. The elevator is a n experience one must have while staying at the hotel. Across the street is a very good coffee shop and down the road, you'll find a great fish and chips staal as you enter the park.
This hotel takes in one of the oldest houses in Nijmegen, dating back thundreds of years with immense windows and an expansive room. Truly pleasant
