Aoraki Lodge

This is a stunning little motel. Large comphy bed, sky TV, great shower,and very clean. Close to town, with a great outdoor area, and use of the BBQ. Very friendly hosts. Will defiantly stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

We booked two rooms for four nights for clients who were here to participate in a Landscape Photography Retreat with us based in Twizel, the heart of Mackenzie Basin near Aoraki/Mt Cook. The location of the accommodation is perfect, just 50 metres from our Photo Base (across the road). Theses apartments have recently been refurbished. Our clients said that the king size beds, air conditioning , quite location, friendly hosts where a great tonic after a long day of photography and learning new skills. Access to the centre of Twizel for restaurants and good coffee is 5 minutes walk away.

Relaxing and informal atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful hosts. You feel welcome within their family. Tilly the cat tried to emigrate to Australia in our suitcase ha ha. Excellent room, comfortable bed and large well appointed bathroom. Lovely breakfast - first class scrambled eggs !! Highly recommend

What a wonderful B&B. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and had a tea cart with various items. The family was very friendly and there were many items to choose from for breakfast, including freshly scrambled eggs with chives. I would definitely recommend staying at the Aoraki Lodge - it is truly terrific!

We enjoyed every second in the Aoraki Lodge. Really nice hosts and it felt like home for us! Room was very big and comfortable and the breakfast was very good! Family atmosphere. We loved it. Highly recommended!
