Really lovely apartment, spacious and with most of the things you would want. However the experience of staying here for the one night was let down by the following issues. Arrived late afternoon after a long drive to discover that there is no onsite reception and eventually ascertained that I needed to go to another motel who were handling the reception duties. Upon returning from dinner that night could not turn on the TV. Don't know if no reception of if the remote control batteries were dead but anyway ..no TV. No complimentary wifi. had to buy separately. Bit rich considering the tariff for one night was NZ240. Apartments are located very close to one of the towns main hotels and was woken up several times after midnight by noise from patrons fighting and arguing in the hotel carpark. Bed was rock hard.

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible!! New owners!! Have no idea how to run a business. I have never come across such rudeness. So shocked. Please do yourselves a favour and STAY AWAY from this horrendous place. Clearly the new owners who run the budget accomodation next door have no idea how to treat customers or even have any manners whatsoever. On our first stay the Apartments had thick layers of dust throughout. It smelt so musty like It hasn’t been aired for a very long time. Kitchen counters had sticky food And grime Over table tops and kitchen. spent an hour cleaning the apartment after driving for many hours in the car. Door was jammed shut and wouldn’t open. Took ages for anyone to arrive at the reception. Owner gave me a small refund when I explained the issues - Also because I had booked two apartments at a later date. We hoped our next stay would be better. Unfortunately even worse!!! We arrived for a second stay expecting a better outcome but were shocked at how much worse the experience was. The owner didn’t even greet us as she saw us. We told her again that one of the apartments door was jammed and wouldn’t open and that we expected both apartments to have a spa bath as advertised on booking.com. We showed her the evidence and all she did was stare at her computer screen for ages not responding. I asked her what she was doing and she literally barked at me that she was trying to see the booking- She couldn’t even log on. Just repetitive pawing at the computer. We were tired and wanted to rest but she was just not responding and if she did she was so rude and obnoxious. She told us that she couldn’t give us another apartment as they were full or a partial refund as it was booking.Com issue not hers?!! And we should GO and stay somewhere else and have a full refund. She barked this at us so aggressively. And that’s all she kept saying. I guess she knew there were no other options for us at this stage hence she could treat us anyway she wanted. I wish I had taken photos of the dirt on our first stay but I don’t leave bad reviews of places and would rather talk to management directly and hope they improve. Not so in this case. PLEASE do yourselves a favour and STAY AWAY from this place- rude rude rude owners, false advertising and disgusting dirty apartments for roughly 250 dollars a night! She gave us a small discount at checkout probably in the hopes that we wouldn’t leave her a bad review but it certainly didn’t make up for the way we were treated or For the terrible experience we had. Again highly recommend staying elsewhere

Was in the middle of a South Island road trip and had booked one night at this supposed luxury property. On arrival I was informed that we had been ‘upgraded’ to a better room but it didn’t have a king bed as per our original booking. On inspection of the room we decided to move on... this property is very run down and the pictures on TripAdvisor are not a true reflection of the current state of this property. Would not recommend staying even one night

We stayed here for 4 nights whilst skiing at Mount Hutt. These apartments are very well located, just 50m from the main intersection and within walking distance to all the shops pubs cafes and restaurants. They are very large and comfortable and great for couples and families alike. Good kitchen , spacious lounge and dining room and balcony with views of the mountains. However the best feature was the fantastic spa bath in the main bathroom, just perfect for tired muscles after skiing.

I stayed here one night during a business trip, it has all to relax and f.i. wash cloths. Everything was clean, spacious and the located in central Methven is ideal. I did not have a lot of contact with employees or use anything else.
