Parking is very clean. Great view of the mountain. Great kitchen so you can cook for yourself. Sharing washroom and toilet, it’s ok but sometimes you have to queue.

I am very satisfied. This hotel was wonderful before, 20 years ago. However, it is dressed in a very low manner and with a very low number of tourists. Despite the fact that the front desk employee was also very accommodating, the services were scarce. To be completely honest, I don't know how this place would survive in a tempo zone. The room was clean and functional, while still being memorable. Maybe for the price, consider other more modern hotel choices in Tempo.

I've stayed here twice now and will be back. Great place to stay at Tempo for a very comfortable night's off the trail. Excellent beds, very clean and well-appointed kitchen and laundry facilities. Staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds.

The restaurant has a selection of breakfasts and outdoor food to suit your taste, the view is beautiful. Then we got a fantastic view of Lake Tempo, the blue lake and the Church of the Good Shepherd on the beautiful lake edge. Then, it has everything you could possibly want in a hotel.

It was fine for this hostel style. The ensure room was a little bigger than the double bed. The bed itself was comfortable. The room was clean and tidy. The communal area was large with lots of space for cooking. There were two large refrigerators for lodgers to store their perishable food. They have a system where you put your name, room number and date of departure on your food. We put a pack of smoked salmon and it was still there the next day.

This place is lovely and has an amazing view of Lake Puka, it's food, and surrounding areas. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Although the clouds were covering the stargazing and we didn't have time for the massages offered, these add-ons looked good.

What a position! How extravagant is the presentation? The lodge is located on a hillside overlooking Lake Puka with an uninterrupted view of it and cooked cloud permitting. The lake's color is so vibrant. Each of the six rooms, including their own bathrooms, and private patios, offers the same fantastic view. The walls on each patio are arranged in such a way that there is privacy if you want to enjoy the view while you bathe. Each evening meal is a set menu created by the resident chef who takes great pride in getting all the ingredients from the best local producers. Individual allergies are taken into account. The wine list has a nice selection, predominantly New Zealand of course. Personal and friendly staff throughout.

It was an incredible experience to stay at the limestone lodge. The meals and service are superb, and the views are breathtaking. The wonderful weather provided the perfect conditions for the hike to Mount Cook, but the hotel's night sky stargazing experience was the highlight of the trip. Seeing the Milky Way was truly incredible, and I have never seen a sky like that. Thank you so much to Mike, Anna, and the team.

At this lodge, which is situated on the lakefront at the far end of Lake Puka and offers clear views of Mount Cook, the staff is excellent and exceptionally helpful. A telescope enhances the views even more! Access is excellent, both for the views and for local and Mount Cook walks and the glacier experience. The accommodations are extremely comfortable, with super king beds and beautiful pillows and a private mini garden overlooking the lake. The shower and the spacious bathroom in the window, which has the same views, make things even better. There are free bicycles and helmets available on the lakeside track. The food is good, but not gourmet. Breakfasts featured a wide selection of continental and cooked dishes, as well as smoothies. Dinner was rich, with three courses plus bread and a decent wine list. It was somewhat meaty, pity there was no salmon available from the lake farm, and vegetarian choices were not as good, quite dry, and served with the veg and duck sauce. Overall, this lodge is a fantastic choice.

We brought smoked salmon and it remained there the following day. It is located close to Lake Tempo and the major restaurants near the lake, which is a 10-minute walk away. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was that they didn't refill the bathroom's shower gel and shampoo dispenser.

The view from the lakeshore lodge is spectacular and the food is delicious. The cleanliness and meticulous attention of the staff to ensure a comfortable stay is why they provide the air conditioner and solar power. We really liked our time there.
