We had occasion to spend two nights at Twizel Cottages while we visited Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo area. The cottage is brand new and spotless! It has a full kitchen, well equipped, as well as a bbq on the lovely private patio (which now has a gate, per a previous review). We were able to do laundry and there’s a clothesline outside for drying in the fresh air—faster than a dryer! Be sure to go outside on a clear night and stargaze...that was unbelievable! Lots to do in this area, and this is a great home base!

Had a great overnight stop over here on on our trip through the south island. Extremely comfortable with great modern facilities. Amazing kitchen and washing machine and dryer included so managed to get a load of washing done. Very clean and you can tell the owners take great pride in making sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. Twizel has a great selection of shops and takeaways. It was too cold to enjoy the outside but great outdoor patio space which would be great in the summer. Highly recommended.

We were a party of three adults staying at this cottage. It is brand new. The owners built it themselves. It has only been in operation since Feb 2018. At the moment there is no dryer only a washing machine but the owners are installing a dryer soon. The cottage is otherwise we'll appointed. The bathroom is on the small side but still suitable. There is a lovely courtyard with bbq facilities. The only problem with the courtyard is that at the moment there is no gate to make it fully enclosed making it more secure both for privacy and safety of small children who may walk off. I'm sure a gate is on the agenda though. The shops and restaurants are any easy flat walk . We would recommend Twizel Cottages for your Stay in Twizel

Petit appartement tout confort avec terrasse, barbecue, machine à laver, deux chambres, coin cuisine et salon. Très bien équipé et très confortable. Belle décoration et spacieux. Idéal et proche de mont Cook. Twizel est très calme et reposant.
