We stayed here as my husband had a work weekend. Have to say this hotel has a great location in downtown Kristiansand. A short walk to the harbor, railroad station and downtown shopping district. The staff was wonderful. Check-in was fast and easy. We had a double room on the top floor facing the street. Only complaint would be the pillows. The pillows should be replaced with better ones. Nice room though, but because of Covid-19 they don’t clean your room daily, only every 4th day for those who stay longer. But there was no problem getting extra towels or things we needed from the maid. Breakfast was amazing and had a lot to choose between both days we were there. And was open from 6am to 11 am which fit our schedule perfectly. Got a late check-out on Sunday at no extra charge and free coffee while I sat in the lobby. Wonderful hotel. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

We stayed at Comfort Hotel after arriving on the late ferry. It was easy to find and close to the port. There is a public parking garage right across the street. It's also downtown and a nice jumping off place to go for a walk in the city. Reception is open 24 hours and was super friendly. The room was small and a bit dated but clean and about exactly what I expected for the hotel type. The bed was comfortable and shower worked well with good water pressure. Breafast buffet is included in the price. It was pretty good sized with a good variety (breads, beans, eggs, crepes, potatoes, fruit, etc) but we got there about 40 minutes before it was supposed to end and it was already very picked over and things were not refilled.

Stayed 16th July 2020 one night, paid Nok.1600. Double room was 3 x 3 meters - + small 2 meter x 70cm to toilet - SMALL - normally this room would have been around Nok, 1200 max. No wardrobe / hanging space. We felt price had been inflated to take advantage of Covid, and the fact that many Norwegians had been fated to spend summer holidays inside Norway. Wont be back - dissapointed.

We have been to many comfort hotels, and have enjoyed our stays. However, this branch fell short of our previous experiences. First is the smell of sewage in the corridors, then the fact that the internal courtyard offers no privacy to any rooms giving on to it. Our room could be seen into when coming out of the lifts, meaning we (and most other guests) kept their curtains closed for both privacy and security while staying at the hotel. The room it self was nice, on the surface. The only bedside shelf/table was falling off the wall meaning anything placed on it would slide off. This shelf also had the only bedside plug socket, so my husband had to charge his electronics on the other side of the room. The beds were impossibly soft, like sleeping on a marshmallow (in the worst way) and the pillows were just sad. Also the toilet was mounted strangely high off the ground. Neither my husband nor I are short (average to tall by all standards) and yet my feet were barely on the ground when using the loo! The breakfast buffet was restarted during our stay and I found the dairy free options lacking, in comparison to previous stays in comfort hotels. There was only soy milk. Other vegan options included peanut butter, hummus, veggies, fruit, bread and cereal. Some vegan butter and yoghurt would be nice additions.
