Went there with my wife for a 4 course meal. The location is wonderful, the service impeccable and the food was amazing. If you're looking for something special we can highly recommend this place! :-)

We held our wedding at Kleivstua. 90 guests, 3 days. Amazing! - Pre-party with excellent barbeque dinner - Concert - Wedding seremony - Wedding dinner and party We used all buildings and guest rooms. You can feel the history and the tradition, this is really something else than the downtown hotels. All guests were excited with their rooms and cabins. The food at Kleivstua was simply amazing! Barbeque dinner, breakfasts, lunch, 5 course wedding dinner and wedding cake. Our guests really appreciated the extensive use of local food. We had wine and drinks based on recommendations from Kleivstua. Excellent! We really appreciated the advises and support from Kleivstua in the planning phase and during the wedding weekend. These guys know how to hold a great party! Highly recommended! Astrid & Hans

Very nice teambuilding. 2 days in autumn. Kleivstua is a unique place with genuine atmosphere. The surroundings are stunning and the food is excellant. ... and you get a lot of it!!!This is an old-fashoned hotel so do not expect TV in your room, A/C or a busy bar. What you can expect is a cozy fire lace nice sofas and excellant services. Perfect place for a birthday party, wedding party or as I said... a team building

The Kleivstua is a very interesting hotel on top of a small mountain. It appears to be geared to groups of business people, or friends, or families. The upscale rustic accommodations are great, and the grounds are pretty. As are the views. The one negative I will say is that you o need to plan ahead for the food. The restaurant, which I am going to guess is excellent, is not a "we just arrived and we'll have dinner" kind of place.

Nice view, silence venue perfect staff and comfortable rooms. If you would like to get a romantical place no need to look for more. Good combination of historical building, with modern services... Recommended
