De la Costa is a solid mid-range hotel in a relatively small city with modest tourism and limited accommodation resources. I arrived in a rental car, and appreciated the availability of a secure parking area inside the facility. I was assigned a room on the first floor (above ground level), and while it looked a bit weathered in some respects it had such essentials as WiFi and air conditioning. (Yes, even in winter the temperature can be warm with uncomfortable humidity.) The shower and other bathroom fixtures were all in good working order.
The morning breakfast was more than adequate, and (unlike my room) the dining room looks out over the sandy beach and across the river to Posadas, Argentina.
