A great budget spot at the end of a winding path off of the Anawin hotel at Station 3. There are a few of these budget places, but IMHO this is the nicest and most spacious. Family run. Quiet. Not fancy. A previous review mentioned a tied up dog --much relief to say this is no longer the case. A 20 minute walk to D'mall if this is your thing. A 3 minute walk to a quiet stretch of beach. We found food in the area to be underwhelming and expensive and we opted to go to the the Main Street for roasted chicken a few times. For 600 pesos, we had a large, airy bungalow with cable tv, though no fridge. No wifi, but they did offer a password to someone's network :-) . As we were leaving about 10 days ago, a new roof on the main building was being erected. A nice spot.

Little hotel tucked away where you would never see it! Far walk from all the action on the beach. Clean, large room with a decent bathroom. Air conditioning was a nice escape from the Philippines heat and all for a good price. No wifi and no breakfast. Friendly woman owns the place and has a great family feel.

Coming into Boracay on 18 hours of travel, minimal sleep and a tight budget puts one in a tricky spot. Fortunately after taking some good advice off tripadvisor and other similar pages I avoided all the pleas to assist in finding me a room (you must insist on your "no" and don't feel bad being direct, add a thank you, it is their island that you are visiting after all). The accommodation is set a bit back from the beach, which some might be upset about, but they have a wonderful grassed area and spacious rooms. The rooms are for two people and have an aircon and fan in the room. The shower is decent (cold water only in my room, but was welcome against the heat). The best part was that in August white beach is blasted with the prevailing SW wind, but Bora Bora was pretty much untouched by the wind, so the perfect shelter from the many on the beach and that not so pleasant wind. Also, kite surfers who are on a budget, this part of station 3 was kite surfing central in August. It is self catering, but making yourself breakfast every morning is quite rewarding if you are in Boracay and helps out that budget too. The fresh market has everything you need on cheap! :) Thank you for saving me and providing me with a great stay. I had planned staying one night and ended up staying 4! Very Good!

We knew Boracay was going to be even more expensive than other resorts we had visited in The Philippines and we had prepared ourselves for the PHP1000 mark or more but were still hoping we would find something cheaper! We arrived at station three and checked out a couple of places - too expensive for us and then some drunk women said they had a room for PHP1000 so feeling hot and bothered and wanting to get into the sea asap, we followed them but the room was uninhabitable. Dark, dank, windowless, smelly and dirty - no ta! Then another woman (not drunk this time!) latched onto us and said she knew some places but they were too expensive as well - we soon found out why! Independently my boyfriend went on his own to one of the places in our book - Bora Bora and came back saying that it was a big room for PHP900! The woman who had latched on tried to deter us saying there's was no wi-fi and it wasn't near the beach etc, but I went and looked anyway. I liked it - it was big, airy, clean and quiet! Plus the room overlooked a huge garden! We snapped it up. While we were putting our stuff in the room, the owner came in looking a bit upset. The woman who had latched onto us was demanding commission from her - even though we had found the place independently and it had absolutely nothing to do with her. The owner kept asking whether she brought us saying that she would have to charge us PHP1200 if so - to cover the commission costs!!!! Be warned, don't let anyone show you rooms, just do it on your own. These touts push up the costs for you - and some guesthouses even say they don't have rooms when they do if the touts come along. They may seem like the friendliest person on earth (she tried to hold my hand!) but it's all about the money. We are by no means naive and had cottoned on after she continued to follow us despite 'her' place being full but be warned anyway! We have only one complaint about Bora Bora Inn and we implore you to do what we did. The owners have a dog for security tied up in the garden - and while he is shaded and fed and watered, he is on a short rope and gets walked once every FOUR days for just half an hour. We explained to the owner that the dog needed walking twice a day at least but we're not sure if we got through.....and we also kept an eye on his water bowl as sometimes he seemed very thirsty. If you coudl do the same, you'd be putting our minds at rest. The owner and her family are very, very nice, they just don't see a security dog as a pet - just an animal that makes noise when strangers come....
