This is a difficult review for me as I often like places that have a local feel but there were significant misses in the experience.
People - The lounge and front desk area are polite and very helpful. 24 hour support is clearly key.
Location - Very central to many offices, restaurants, and attractions
Gym - In the adjacent building, there is a good mix of equipment and free weights to get a workout in. Also includes two very nice pools outside
Restaurant - Partnership with select Filipino and Japanese restaurants close by that provide meals until 10:00 pm.
Areas of Improvement:
Cleanliness - Dealbreaker for me. The first night I was there the bed was made with yellow stained sheets. Additionally, there were always flies in the apartment noticeable areas of dirt on the floor. My attendant came and changed them for me when I notified them though.
Layout - I had a 1-bd room suite; Nightstand was placed on the far side end of the room only, no tv in the bedroom only in the living room, and the room provided an overwhelming echo making it difficult to have phone calls. In addition to the TV placement, VERY limited selection of channels.
Ambiance - Room 14A has a window facing a wall both in the bedroom and living room resulting in very little natural lighting.
Restaurants - Limited selection, particularly at the Japanese restaurant so on occasion selected to opt out of the provided meal. Almost all options at the Japanese restaurants were fried, which is difficult when trying to be healthy.
I was considering an average review but there’s good things to consider but for the price point and where my priorities are, I have to downgrade my rating. The deal breaker is that I had chosen to move to another hotel after a few days and much happier with the decision.
However, this review is not meant to be a slam. I think the service and helpfulness of people are very good but think that there are some key things that can help improve the experience.
