Dolphin House is the best way to experience southern Cebu. The facilities were amazing, the staff were friendly, and the diving was beautiful. Sardine Run dive is a must. So is Kawasan Falls adventure

This resort (based on the looks of all the other places we passed during our stay) must be the finest in Moalboal. It is hidden at the far end of the island, right before the white beach starts (on low tide you can walk to white beach from the resort. Dolphin house has a tiny sandy area and a pier with a great house reef right outside). The area is well planned. Garden and pool area is beautiful. Everything cleaned everyday. Staff is friendly and most of them speak English. The room was clean. Bed was a bit hard (as most are in the Philippines...) Breakfast is included and contains 3 hot dishes, fresh fruit, cereal and yogurt, bread and pancakes + fresh made omelet. Also milk, coffe and fresh juice. They serve lunch and dinner with a few different choices every day. If you want to try other restaurants you will have to get a tuc to either Panangsama beach or Moalboal town (about 10 minutes ride for 150php). There you will have lots of other options. They offer different trips if you want to explore snorkeling or waterfalls etc. prices at the resort is what you must expect at a resort - more expensive than going local, but to be honest, there’s not much local options. Most of the bars and restaurants are based on tourists. The only obvious room for improvement at the resort is in the bar. They have little knowledge about wine and the drinks are medium quality. All in all this is the best place to stay in Moalboal if you are looking for a beautiful quiet place to relax your holidays.

Beautifully maintained property on the shore, private, architecturally unique. Great meals, super nice staff, spotlessly clean. Dive operation looks well organized, did not take advantage of. Feels like being on a private estate. Does not have a beach, but is adjacent to public beach.

I booked this resort for 2 nights in the hopes of finding some relaxation and pampering. I did not expect anything over the top but I did expect a little more than your average hotel considering the 4 star rating and the cost. Now, bare with me. Upon arrival, they offer a complimentary beverage which is either a mango juice or a cocktail. We wanted a cocktail (our journey had been stressful hence why we wanted to stay at a nice resort for pampering) but the cocktail had milk in it. We are vegan so this was an issue for us (and this would be an issue for those with an allergy too). We asked if they offered any other milk alternatives (they do not) and if they could offer us a different cocktail of equal value. They refused to accommodate us on the matter. It is a shame they couldn't as we had really been looking forward to enjoying a cocktail upon arrival so vegans and those with allergies beware. While swimming at the pool (there is only one for them to maintain) the pool towels ran out. I wouldn't have minded all that much except that it was windy and a bit chilly that day. I asked a passing employee about towels and he grabbed a towel from the dirty towel basket and tried to give it to me. No joke. I asked if there were any clean towels and he said, "There are no clean towels today." which is quite shocking for a 4 star resort at mid-day with no one else at the pool at that time. I also asked at the restaurant about ordering some food that could be made vegan. They had vegetarian pizza on the menu and I asked if they could make it with no cheese. The employee said "But it won't look nice." and continued to tell me they couldn't do it. Another employee went and asked the chef who said it wasn't a problem at all. Ordering with no cheese simply saves them money on a pizza that is already WAY overpriced (but like I said, we were splurging). We decided not to eat here, Instead we went to a local restaurant run by 2 former employees (obviously they knew that they were too good to be working at that resort). The restaurant is called "Jam's" and you should DEFINITELY go there. several vegan options and a ton of options for those who want meat too! Everything we tried there was soooo delicious and fresh. The owners are also some of the sweetest people. Also know that if you stay here, you will pay A LOT more for services than you would elsewhere (spa, diving, etc.). Of course you know that because it is a resort but the level of increase of cost was insane. The breakfast is minimal. My partner and I could only eat fruit and granola for breakfast. They offer a lot of cold cuts and eggs too. I found this place ironic and hypocritical considering they try to have "minimal impact" and be in symbiosis with the environment but they can't accommodate a meatless diet and offer so many meat items on the menu. Anyone who does their research knows that eating meat is NOT sustainable for the planet and in definitely not in symbiosis with nature. They also have a path available leading to the white beach. Sounds nice right? Wrong. It was a little dangerous getting there in the light and upon returning in the dark, we were greeted by hundreds of little crabs that were living on that path. We knew no other way back to the resort (as they didn't inform us of another path) and we were forced to take this journey as we crushed numerous crabs along the way. Maybe this is okay for some people but to be honest, I found myself standing in the dark listening to al of the little crab shells closing for protection as I walked along and prayed I didn't crush them (but knew that I was because i could hear their shells crunching under my feet). It was a terrible experience and because of this, we didn't even return to the white sand beach. I truly don't understand how they can claim to be a resort focused on "living in harmony with the reef" if they are telling guests to take his path that kills so many sea critters. That said, we mostly enjoyed the room (aside from the ants and proximity to other guests despite the pictures making it seem otherwise). The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. There is also nice area for sitting by the ocean. All in all, NOT worth the money and I left feeling like I had wasted two days.

My husband and I were very happy with our stay here. The staff were all friendly and nice and smiling. The resort was beautiful and the food was good. It's walking distance from white beach, which is great for snorkelling. It's about 15 mins drive from the town with all the restaurants. There's ample space in the resort to have some quiet time, especially in the sweet bamboo huts -two of these overlook the beach. They are also eco friendly which is great.
