No Decency Whatsoever! Will not refund your booking even if they did not open! Look for other cheaper but more quality hotels in Oslob. Youll be better off! Stay Away from this hotel. No hint of customer service at all!

I originally booked this hotel through Agoda but my credit card was hacked, so payment could not be processed, so the management insisted on an up front cash payment to secure the booking, The payment requested was twice the Agoda price, the equivalent of $100AUD per night. I queried the amount and received a message that the standard of the room was higher, therefore the higher payment. I accepted this and expected a room to justify the price. That was not the case, there is only one standard of room in the hotel. Very basic! Enough! Down to tin tacks. The facilities in the hotel would disgrace even the most basic backpacker establishment. I stayed in three separate rooms and each was worse than the one that preceded it. Of the basic requirements to make a room serviceable; a working television, a refrigerator, hot water in the bathroom, a functioning air conditioner and a toilet seat not one of the rooms I occupied boasted all five and each lacked at least two.The pool was dirty and there was no wifi in the rooms only in the lobby and that was was intermittent. The food was terrible and there were no coffee or tea making facilities. I had to supply my own bottled water. I raised these matters and I got a “Take it or leave it” response, they laughed when I requested a refund of any of my payment A person surely has the right to expect that any hotel on any website should at least provide basic services for the rate they charge. That is a principled way to conduct business.

I booked the hotel for 8 days and the official check-in time ended at 8pm. We reached late and thought our booking would get cancelled because there was no way to contact them. They did not reply on Facebook and their landline was unanswered. However, there were staff present past 11pm and we were surprised that they have 24x7 hour open reception. We were pleased. However, that joy soon turned to sorrow when we were told that the swimming pool was closed due to poor water supply. I booked the hotel mainly for the pool and the sea view! Also, there are no wifi in rooms. The wifi is only available in the lobby. I was so sad on hearing this and i felt as if the purpose of staying there was gone. Worse was yet to come. After 2 days, that lobby wi-fi also stopped because of "poor weather". I was basically cut-off from he world and i could not check my email and do my business. I had to walk 15 minutes to the main road and eat at a pizza restaurant to get their wifi. My girlfriend also complained that the fish sinagang she had for breakfast had an unfresh fish and god knows how long it was in fridge. the free breakfast i had was good. The rooms were good enough, but the main features were absent. I could have booked other cheaper hotels which had working pool and wifi in rooms. Overall, i was disappointed and i would not return there even if their pool has water.

First let me say the staff was always friendly and helpful. It’s close to the whale sharks and has a tiny friendly town. That’s where the pleasure stops The WiFi only works in the lobby, when it does and very slow. The rooms are quite simply terrible. The toilet and sink do not have water so if you use the toilet be prepared to smell it the entire time because there is no flush and the bucket does not provide enough force to move it down. Sorry for the graphic but you need to know. The shower did work but in my travel mates room he had no warm water as I was informed by reception that very few rooms have any hot water at all The AC unit puts out cold air but also hot air as it’s not properly vented so the room does not get cool. I took the fan from the lobby so I could try to get some sleep The roosters crow all night so ear plugs are a must The place is a multi story walk up so be prepared to get your steps in. 6 floors with no lift The doors have weak locks that can be simply opened with a credit card because the doors move enough to slide it in so don’t bring valuables - No room safe My travel mate heard about my toilet experience and was smart to use the public toilet in the lobby but because there was no water he asked about how to wash his hands. Someone went I to the kitchen and brought out a cooking pot with water in it and said to use this. Really? No way in heck we are going to eat anything prepared in that kitchen! I would abound unless there is no other options. In full disclosure we did not pick the place and did not know what we were in for until we arrived As a positive, the view from the balcony at the back of the building is quite beautiful (see photo)

We stayed at Hotel Sebastian in Oslob Cebu during the New Year season this year with family and friends. I originally booked a deluxe seaview room but upon check in, we saw that the airconditioning unit was not working properly. Even if the temperature is maxed out, it is still too hot even after half an hour that it has been turned on. So, we reported back to the front desk and they had it tested. I negotiated that we cannot sleep there for two nights especially I have with me my 10 year old son. It would be too hot. So, they transferred us to a bigger room with a seaview. They said it's the room where the owner also stays whenever the owner is there so we assume that it should be better than our original room. The room is bigger with a good bed. Airconditioning unit is finally working properly (we noticed that the AC is new). But the toilet really is so old and there is no heater! And the water supply is really so limited. I had to go down twice in the reception area to report that there is no water coming out from the faucets and showerhead. But we still stayed in the room however on our second night, we came back after lunch to realize that the lights are not working in the room. I reported back to the front desk to have it checked and they mentioned that indeed, all of the lights in our room are malfunctioned and they have the electrician coming the following day. But we were already checking out the next day. Since it is our last night, we have just requested for a chargeable lamp. They have provided some emergency light. So, we accepted another discomfort. The management should do something about the quality of the rooms there. They should maintain it properly and make sure that everything is working especially they also charge almost same rates as those in Cebu proper. The manager should also be more efficient and client -oriented to the guests. But those in the front desk, housekeeping and dining/kitchen are all ok. They were responsive to our needs and quick with their actions so we really appreciate their efforts.
