-FO is very stiff. no view noisy jeeps and buses in front mall is still not open so area is a bit creepy at night crowded feel on the pool +Room is Ok for the price- clean free shuttle to Rob tasty humba at the restaurant- quick and OK service as well

We had a very pleasant stay. Rooms are very clean and staffs were very accommodating. Plus yummy breakfast. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone. Excellent service. God Bless and More power!

The room rates are reasonable. The hotel is co-located with Robinsons Mall so shopping is steps away. Hotel restaurant service is good . The transfer station is nearby so transportation to any local towns or cities can be coordinated easily. The airport is minutes away. The hotel sits on an anti-earthquake foundation so safety and security at the property puts you at ease.

We stayed here while having our seminar in the same hotel. Our room was spacious and the bed is very relaxing. The toilet and bath is a bit cramped for me though. It would have also been extra convenient if the Robinson's Place mall right in front of it was open. And oh, this hotel is near the airport. However, you have to go to the highway first to catch a ride which is a bit inconvenient if your flight is an early morning one since their airport shuttle starts at 6AM. Despite of these, Summit Hotel made our stay at Tacloban memorable and comfortable.

This hotel is quite new, so it has not had the chance (yet?) to fall victim to the lack of maintenance that you find in most other places in this country. It has been professionally designed. The rooms are modern and comfortable, with good beds. All essentials are there, and at the right place. Most importantly: the rooms are quiet. Well isolated from the party hall, and even from the noise and pollution of traffic outside. The pool area, unfortunately, is a bit underdeveloped. Expand the dining area to the terrace, heat the pool (water is too cold now), and it will be a great place to hang out. And why does it close at 20:00h?? I would expect it to be open at least till midnight! One caveat: best to reserve directly via their website, and pay upon arrival. I made the mistake to make a reservation for several nights via a bookingsite (Hotels.com). They required me to send full payment in advance. When I had to shift the dates later on, I lost my total payment! No date change allowed, and no refund.
