I recently discovered this gem of a farm resort after a friend raved about it. It's a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Manila. The sprawling property has scenic mountain views, lovely gardens for strolling through, an infinity pool and lagoon, and plenty of organic fruit trees for picking. The resort is made up of unique, charming villas that were once heritage homes that the owner brought from their original location and restored. The resort is also perfect for a family reunion, a destination wedding, or other special occasion. This is a place if you're searching for some relaxation and be disconnected from the world. The owners and caretaker are very friendly, hospitable, and accommodating.

The place is still as natural as before. The addition to the package is the rambutan picking for free and when we went home, we bought 5 kilos for pasalubong. Breakfast was good as ever and the free flowing coffee too. We got to dip in the infinity pool and the lagoon as well. The avocado room is for three people but has a smaller area compared to lanzones . Our thanks to Magda who is the lone caretaker of the place. additional houses to accommodate more people.

Sitio de Amor has a lot of potential. They serve good family-style Filipino food, they have a river lagoon that runs through it which makes it special and lucky for my 8 and 11 year old boys, there were old bikes on the expansive property which they enjoyed. Otherwise beyond swimming, there’s nothing else you can do here. I met the owner Amor, and unlike the other reviews she was quite pleasant and lovely. Perhaps she had had a bad day that other time! Nevertheless the issues of this place as an option for your vacation is plentiful: AMENITIES: Clearly in need of a proper renovation that will put it up to par with other resorts and b&b’s in the country. The rooms and bathrooms are quite run-down, like moving into a semi-abandoned house that was aired out only the day before and fitted with old family furniture. Thankfully it’s air conditioned but only a flat sheet was provided and no blanket. I read in another review that they found mushrooms growing in the bathroom, well guess what, said mushrooms were still there! My brother’s bathroom was intended to feel Balinese with an open-air feature but which was wrongly executed as their design simply left occupants roofless and exposed to the elements. I can only imagine what mosquito season would be like! Also, if you ever come on a rainy day, you’d be stuck in your room with nowhere to go. Not even to see your family next door. SERVICE: The biggest asset the place has is their one and only employee apart from the kitchen staff, who is Magda. She’s front desk, concierge, room service and maybe even housekeeping rolled into one. She even waters the plants. It’s a bit charming, until I guess you need a glass of water or certain assistance. My Driver had to pick up where service ended. We got there right after lunch and we booked dinner. If you want to have a snack you better prepare your own picnic as it isn’t a resort with a menu you can order from poolside or anything. Once we were checked in, we were pretty much left to our own devices. No waiters, no lifeguards, no nothing. Part of us wanted to pack up and leave but thought we should just test our emotional toughness by sticking it out. You’ll need a lot of positive thinking to look at the bright side of this place! ACTIVITIES: The site boasted of horseback riding and aviaries. Expectation vs reality. The aviaries are mere cages, pets of the owners and the horses weren’t fit to be ridden. The owners have the old, dusty board games of their kids on the ready though, at the “pavilion.” Perhaps as an afterthought the old bikes of their kids were left on the property as well which ended useful and fun. Although it did come with its perils as my 11-Year old was chased by a stray dog near the gate of the property. PRICE: For a place with what feels like make-shift accommodations and non-existent service crew (for such a large property) they are priced quite high. For three rooms and 11 pax and additional dinner to the breakfast which was included, our total bill came up to around P23,000 overnight. There are MANY more places around the South of Manila that can rightfully charge that much. I was charged P1,000 for my driver’s accommodations which turned out to be an old hospital bed placed in a very dusty stockroom of sorts half covered with white cloth to cover God knows what. MANAGEMENT: To be honest I wish these people well and encourage them to improve their amenities and service for they have a special place, however they clearly need to hire some consultant in the hospitality business because they seem to be getting people’s honest money to be their guests in their run down retirement home. Sadly even as private vacation homes go, theirs isn’t run to the best standards either. If they intend to be casual about their business, then they should adjust their price points accordingly. OR they should just enjoy their retirement and not bother with accepting disappointed people’s hard earned money.

The resort boasts of scenic view of the mountains, infinity pool and lush fruit-bearing trees. The room where we stayed has an old spanish touch (i guess all other rooms are). A small balcony opens to beautiful garden of trees and natural creek. Since its theme is to commune with nature, don't expect wifi or television in the rooms. Breakfast was a feast and the owners are very friendly and accommodating.

Very disappointing! They dont have rates in any travel sites, their website wont work, the on facebook doesnt either in short we cant make any reservation so we decided to visit there check their rates and to take a look at the place since we are just from Cabuyao. I wish we have taken some pictures, the place is big and beautiful but its not well mantained, the floors were sliperry due to growing molds and algae, the place is VERY MAPUTIK our car got really dirty just by entering the place. We were asking for a family room but the lady said the room was already reserved, so we headed to lanzones room it has a queen size bed but there are 5 of us,how are we suppose to sleep in that bed? She pointed to a couch and said one can sleep there like what? They are clearly not ready for surprise guests, the rooms were smelly, the linens and the sheets were super gross they havent even swept the floors! They have this like basin to catch the water leaking from the roof. Its a mess to see! I insisted on checking kasoy room, its so small and just like the other room it was filthy! But the service is worse than the place. After saying one of us will be sleeping on the couch which is really absurd for the price of the room 5800 for 2pax plus 1200 for added person, we are about to stay there for 3 days! Imagine 9400 for a day? 28k for 3days? We might as well go for a more cozy hotel in Manila or Tagaytay! We asked her what else can we do there (the place in particular)? She said "Wala matutulog lang kayo" what a boring place to have your vacation! She might've rephrased that so it doesnt sounded like that. Maybe the lady felt our disappoinment and she subtly turned us down by saying we can look for other places to stay in San Pablo. And gladly we listened and found many beautiful and penny worthy places to stay for Christmas.
