LOCATION: (5/5) It is centrally located. It's close to the plaza, public market, convenient store (7-11), and THE BEACH.
FOOD: (4/5) Delicious food (I love the sinigang and pizza). It's a bit pricy though especially the drinks. A can of cola cost 80PHP but you can buy it way cheaper at a nearby 7/11.
SERVICES and AMENITIES: (1/5) The Internet. Where do I even begin? If you want internet access, you can only get a good signal at the resto and near the pool. Inside the rooms? Nada. Zil. Out of Coverage area. If you need internet access for work and other things, this will be a big concern for you. Also, you need to specifically request the body gel in the bathroom to be refilled because apparently, they don't check it. When I got other problems with the room but staff just stare at us instead of helping asap. The guards are very courteous and helpful though.

Been travelling to La Union almost every month for sometime now and have stayed in a few hotels in the area and I could say that Villas Buenavista is a good option. Not that luxurious but comfortable, clean, and relatively new. One of the few resorts with a pool and with a beachfront. Breakfast is good too. The staff are courteous and accommodating. Will surely keep it as an option every time I go up north.

The travel should have been on the Holy Week (April) but was moved to June (before the school days start). I contacted them first through their FB page, and was nice to have it rebooked to other date (no refund). On the day I will change my booking, good thing I got their contact number and was able to book one. :-)
We arrived at 11am. The place is secured and safe, a lot of CCTV in the area. The vicinity is clean. Nice to know that their staff are friendly and accommodating. We asked for early check-in and they obliged without extra charge, they will just clean our room. It took about an hour to clean the "already" cleaned room. We were asked to wait at their restaurant and have a free welcome drinks.
The room is so big and spacious. Very Clean indeed. Comfort room has a bath tub and a hot water plus with soap, tooth brush and lotion.
Pool is great.
Wifi is good (no wifi inside the room).
Beach is somewhat steep, but it's all fine.
Complimentary breakfast is good.
We can drive to the nearest fast-food restaurant in the area (Google map or Waze is good) and bring it back to our room.
Over-all we had a great time!

I booked this place for our Holy Week vacation about a month before (note that about 2 weeks before Holy Week, the place was already fully booked). The good thing about its location is it's quite a distance from the busier Urbiztondo area - busy with surfers. The other good thing is that it is near the end of the bypass road which let's you escape the heavy traffic of the coastal road that passes through San Fernando and Urbiztondo areas. The rooms at Villas Buenavista are big enough and are clean. Water supply is very good. The food selection at their restaurant is good enough and there are restaurants, grills, etc. within a 10min drive should you want more. The waiters and the room caretakers are courteous and are very helpful. Their parking lot, though spacious, could still become crowded on busy weekends and occasions. The guards are very hepful as well. Also there are other parking spaces at the back.

Friendly and accommodating staffs, food is great! Pool is warm and clean. Instagrammable facade. Beach however is not swimmable. Do not get a suite room, far from everywhere. Bit pricey too.Not advisable for people who wants to enjoy the beach.
