Located in the village of Lagoa in the central southern part of the island, the guesthouse is an excellent starting point for discovering the island of Sao Miguel. A walking tour allows guests to visit a ceramic factory, beautiful churches, the picturesque fishing port, beaches and pools, and enjoy the traditional cuisine at several local restaurants. There are links to the public transport network just outside the guesthouse. It is just 10 minutes from Nordela (São Miguel Island) Airport. Housed in a 19th century building that combines traditional and modern design, the guesthouse is ideally situated 50 metres away from the sea. It offers a total of 15 rooms with panoramic views over the ocean and surrounding areas, as well as a bar and a breakfast room. Fully renovated in 2010, there are a total of 15 rooms. Further facilities include air conditioning, a hotel safe, Internet access, a car park and a bicycle hire service. The rooms are simple but comfortably furnished and offer views of the ocean and the surrounding area. All are en suite with a shower. Further in-room amenities include a double bed, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV and individually regulated air conditioning. The nearby beaches are sandy and rocky. Breakfast is served in an open buffet form. From the airport, follow the motorway towards Lagoa (about 10 km), then there is a roundabout where guests should take the 2nd exit and at the second roundabout take the 1st exit. Continue straight ahead then take the 2nd street on the left.
