The hotel is very simple, what you see is what you get. Don't expect some luxury. Simple to rest, and go on the ext day. The check in was fast, small tv. It show that the years gone by, and nothing has done to modernize the rooms. It was clean. Poor food variety in the breakfast, and some food are not included in the breakfast.

When we arrived was 5C in the room, the air condition worked very slowly, the water for shower was cold. We had to wait at least one day for warm water. The breakfast was terrible, was only cheese, the cheapest "ham", some jam....and that's it....no vegetables, no fruits... I do not recommend it to anyone.

Had the non pleasure of staying here in September, they're only interested in coach tours and not couples, the coach tours that frequent the hotel are like a plague of locusts at breakfast time, they take everything! They are rood to boot! The breakfast staff say the more they put out the more they take! How about you realise you have other breakfast guest and you save some food for them! The room we had was close to the lift, the lift was clonking when used, so in the morning when the coach trippers went for their early breakfast rush, if the noise of them didn't wake you the lifts did. The hotel is a glorified travelodge in a commercial zone, the restaurant attached to it served lookwarm food of pour quality, there's plenty of parking. The hotel facilities are tired and not looked after, the cushions on the sun beds were filthy and sun beds cracked, the room we had was nice, it was clean and we had clean towels everyday, they made our beds once in a week, there was squeazy soap by the sink and in the shower, the safe didn't work, but we didn't have a problem, caldas da rainha is a lovely place with a good variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and things to see, it's reasonably priced and has a good atmosphere, it has a fruit market everyday, well worth a visit, just stay somewhere else, the staff were very pleasant and welcoming, it a shame the hotel wasn't.

We were a large group, travelling for work, and almost everyone had something to complain about this hotel. I didn't have hot water one afternoon (called reception and it was fixed), no water at all one time, there were dirty towels, room switching due to pee on the bed, a noisy local party with live music until midnight, sad breakfast, loud airconditioning, dreadful decoration and scary toilets. Not an option, in my opinion.

This hotel is on the outskirts of the town and about 15 minutes walk to the old town. The rooms were clean and well kept. I had booked B&B for 4 nights but only had breakfast on the first day as the choice was poor and not worth it. There is a buffet restaurant at the side of the hotel which had a good choice and was good value. I agree with most other reviewers that a car is essential if you are staying at this hotel although I did enjoy the walk in to the old part of town.
