The Villa was lovely with plenty of room for everyone. The smaller annex had air conditioning but the main house only had fans in the room. Could do with ceiling fans or air conditioning units as it was so hot in all the rooms. I would not recommend this villa for families with toddlers as the steps are really steep and made of sharp granite very dangerous for little ones. Also while we were there there was so many flies it was hard to keep them at bay. Also in the evening lots of barking dogs in the area not ideal for sitting having a quiet drink.

We had a lovely stay with two other families. Great pool, beautiful garden, and lots of late night table tennis. Maria is a charming host with lots of advice on local trips. Gumeires and Praia do Cabedelo are worth the effort

The villa is lovely, its split into a number of different bits: the main building, 3 bedrooms; Outbuilding, 3 studio apartments and an entertainment area, covered area and living room/pool table/BBQ area. The location is great for those willing to drive, there are a couple of local shops nearby but restaurants require a car. The main bad things I can say is that its not safe for toddler aged children, there are lots of shear drops(4ft+) and steep granite steps. A small fence and a couple of gates would make it much more appealing and relaxing to families. Also the kitchen isn't really suited to parties greater than 6 odd.

We had a wonderful two-week holiday in this beautiful villa. There was everything, and more, to keep the three generations in our party happy. The villa is very well equipped, with everything we could possibly want or need and the gardens are truly lovely. The location is rural and peaceful, but there is a small supermarket, a bread shop and a cafe within walking distance, and large supermarkets within 10-15 minutes drive. Maria is a charming and helpful host and responds immediately to any concerns. There is plenty to occupy guests at the villa, with a lovely swimming pool and a large games room with table tennis, a pool table and many other games, or just relaxing in the garden. There are many places of interest within a reasonable driving distance. We enjoyed visiting Braga and Barcelos, Porto and Viana do Costelo, to mention a few, as well as kayaking on the river at Ponte de Lima and swimming in the sea on the coast. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, we would love to return.

We stayed here with a large group of friends for two weeks with about 12 of us staying at one time ... We rented the whole property via Vintage Travel. The accommodation was fantastic and of high quality without being 'flashy'! The kitchen was well equipped and a couple of extra items were quickly provided when requested. The beds were comfortable and the AC and fans were a bonus. Plenty of space in the extensive grounds with lots of small areas to sit and relax or chat or play board games etc. Nice pool and good games facilities especially TT and pool. 2 BBQs were put to good use! We had fantastic service from Luisa and Olivia every couple of days and it was great to have the towels changed every couple of days .... House logos on the bed linen was a nice touch too! Braga and Barcelos were two great towns < 30 minutes away to explore/shop/eat etc and Porto airport < 60 mins by car. For a quiet relaxing break with everything to hand it couldn't be beaten and we've been renting houses across Europe as a group for 30 years!
