Casal dos Patos

Casal dos Patos made for an amazing stay during my short summer visit from Australia. The staff there are really friendly, the location is beyond amazing, both in view and close to amenities. I had a flat screen tv in my room which came in handy for those relaxing nights in with room service provided also :) looking forward to my stay once more this year!

Very good vacation with friends! Nice location and kind clever and helpful staff of the hotel. Nearby surfing and other summer activities. Everything is close-by. Sightseeings, towns, Lisbon, ocean, cafes, night-clubs... Will for sure come back next summer!

Wonderful place for relaxing holidays. You are so close to beach… it´s fantastic. And the view !! Very nice hosts and stuff, very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety, each day there is something different on the table. The rooms are nice and clean. Within 30 to 60 minutes you can visit a lot of interesting places like Óbidos, Nazaré, Batalha, Sintra or even Lisbon We loved our stay and will certainly come back.    

We stayed a week in Praia da Areia Branca and we enjoyed the hospitality of Christel and Peter a lot. The room was clean and comfortable. Their house is located above the village and provides a stunning 270 degrees view over the atlantic ocean. The rich breakfast was perfect for our start into the day since we had surf lessons. We spent 4 nights in July 2012 in Casal dos Patos and we loved the wonderful quite situation of this house, up the hill just by the sea in this small holiday village. The rooms were refreshed shortly before our stay, simple but functionnal and good taste. Christel, the lovely german owner of the house that speaks perfectly portuguese and english is very attentive and has everything very clean and well organized. For example, the rooms are cleaned during the breakfast that is taken in one big table that acilitates nice conversations with the other guests that are mostly german couples or families that don't like to stay in big touristic structures. It can get a bit tight if everybody takes the breakfast at the same time but the atmosphere is very pleasant. Although the wheather only allowed us to spend the first day in the small beach at the right of the house, the surroundings offer nice bars and restaurants and walking opportunities. Peniche and Obidos are also close by car.
