location is good, <5min walk to marques de pombal station. many restaurants & supermarkets nearby. room and toilet are spacious. overall it was good but had to pay for wifi and luggage storage

We booked the hotel for June and due to COVID we were unable to fly and stay. They dragged the process out and asked us for proof of cancelled flights etc even though it was common knowledge. We provided all the details and eventually they said they couldn’t refund us but would give us vouchers to stay next year - which was fine with us. The last correspondence we had from them was on the 19th July. We’ve sent numerous messages and we’ve had no reply at all. They’ve ignored us. I messaged them on Instagram today about a booking and they were quick to reply. (They must have thought I was a new customer). When I said it was about a refund they said they had sent me an email, even though they didn’t have my details and the booking was done by my wife. (So they’re trying to blag their way out of it). My wife has checked all her emails again and we’ve had nothing from them. Total lies. I’ve asked for the refund / vouchers and if they can send them again and despite seeing my messages, they’ve refused to get back to me. I can’t believe a well-known chain of hotels would treat its customers like this. My advice would be to stay clear of this hotel and don’t risk giving them your money. They should be ashamed.

Very clean and modern hotel for a good price. The staff is friendly, helpfull and professional. Special thanks to Marta, she speaks multiple languages, is helpfull, professional and friendly. We would definitly recommend this hotel. If you are walking to the city center, take the Rua de Santa Marta street, lots of nice bars and local restaurants to have good food!

Booked this hotel for two nights in June. Due to coronavirus our flights from the UK were cancelled. Contacted the hotel at the end of May and finally after countless messages back and forth I was offered vouchers for a future stay. Now over two weeks since I was offered the vouchers and nothing, despite me contacting the hotel via Zendesk (the online portal). It is an absolute disgrace that in this global crisis a major hotel chain can treat its customers like this.

Does not respond after being paid for reservation, despite having several guidelines promising action regarding recent lockdowns in form of rebookings and refunds. Already filed a complaint with Portuguese authorities (ASAE), will never deal with these people again.

First of all I'd like to say that the hotel is very clean and modern looking and looks just like in the pictures. The location is great and the price was even better. I paid $165 Canadian dollars for 3 nights. It is very no frills but I knew that going in and really just wanted a clean, modern, well located place to stay. We paid 10 euros for early checkin at 2pm which was fine and we knew that before arriving. The ladies working the front desk were extremely nice and welcoming and checked my partner and I in very quickly. Wifi and TV are now included in the price. The Bad: Upon arriving to my room I opened the curtains and immediately noticed the wall on both sides filled with mold. I left the room and headed back downstairs to let the staff know and ask for a different room. I have an extreme allergy to mold in large quantities. They apologized many times and went to check other rooms. I waited 1 hour for them to come back and tell me that unfortunately all of their rooms in the hotel have mold. I was horrified. I mean, I know the price is low but that is just unacceptable. How can all of your rooms except one have a mold problem?! That is extremely dangerous for guests even if they do not have allergies. It's not just a little bit of mold either, it is A lot. I have attached pictures They then proceeded to give me a refund after I declined staying in their only room that didn't have mold. The refund took 1 hour to process since I pointed out that they only gave me 3/4 of my refund and there was still some money missing. They were unaware of how to get this money back from hotels.com I left there after 2.5 hours still not receiving my full refund. Now, I'm expected to call hotels.com and figure it out. The staff offered to help me find another hotel which was nice but I ended up just finding my own accommodations. I am so disappointed with how this whole thing turned out. If you are okay with staying in a place with every room moldy except one, then stay here. It is modern, staff are friendly, room is not as small as I thought it would be (room 306), clean (besides the mold) and it is located about 5 minutes walking to marques de Pombal metro station.
