After our Ryanair flight to Tenerife was diverted here, we were sent to this hotel for one night. Over 100 passengers arrived here at very short notice and both the 2 Reception/Bar staff and 2 Restaurant staff were amazing. They didn’t miss a beat. The service was excellent and all done with a smile. Because of the numbers arriving at one time, some people had to wait to be checked in but that was only to be expected. Food was fine and although breakfast was included, we had to leave early. Even the night porter helped us out to our transport when we left. A big thank you and well done

I have stayed here before and was pleasantly surprised by the new decor and makeover of the rooms and reception and public areas. This is not a grand hotel but the location is great for Matosinhos and Porto and Leixos. Perfectly comfortable and friendly. Great breakfast too and good value. Thank you.

There are now three HIEs in Porto. This one is adjacent to the Expo site and close to the port. The 601 bus from the airport stops outside, and the 507 will take you to the metro: both run around twice and hour. The hotel is typical of the Holiday Inn Express brand and provides breakfast included in the price. The staff at reception and around the hotel were friendly and reception staff spoke several different languages. Toiletries are complimentary, which is useful if, like me, you bag hadn't made it to the airport with you. Room was a good size and clean but only had a shower over the bath. There are several good eating places within 5-10 minutes walk, or you can walk across the bridge to the stunning fish restaurants of Matosinhos where the A line metro also stops. You can also catch the 500 bus downtown from there as well. This Double Decker bus takes the coast road and then along the river whereas the 502 takes an inland route from an adjacent stop. Some stops have shelters, others don't which is odd given the amount of rain Portugal receives each year. The area feels safe, but is some way from Porto's tourist centre.

Ideal hotel for business, close to Exponor and Porto Airport (Aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro) and the A28 highway where the city centre is reached within 10 minutes. Quiet and clean room, good Wifi and breakfast, very friendly staff eager to meet the guest's requests. No safe and no fridge in the room. In order to visit Porto not worrying about the car, We parked our car near Mercado metro station (blue line to Matosinhos - 4 minutes from the hotel) and took the metro to the city centre. Good restaurants in Matosinhos and Leça serving excellent fish. We recommend this hotel.

Close to airport. If you don’t want to spend time in traffic, very much recommended. Rooms are modern, clean and air conditioner is not noisy. Staff very helpful. Breakfast options are not so wide, still ok.
