Room was clean and nice, thanks to the cleaning lady. French and English people did not have to do anything extraordonary. But as a Norwegian, actually living in Funchal, I had to wear mask, ok. But plastic gloves for a coffee😭😭😭😭 And room with balcony? Haha....what a joke! Also TV did not work. After a great job from hotels.com I finally got my room with the balcony. And a more angry lady. But I will never stay here again, and I can not reccomend this place to anybody.

Rooms were good als well as the bathroom. Breakfast was good but diner was not that great. Overall atmosphere was a little awkward, don't know why. The thing that I was surprised about is that your backpack is put behind the frontdoor if you are leaving later during the day. Not safe at all since everyone can come in and there is no one behind the reception. They can improve that for sure!

Came here on the advice of a friend of a friend. Ordered mixed meat platter, mixed fish platter, grilled sardines and garlic bread. Mixed meat - pork chop had been previously frozen and was tough as leather. Beef was tough. Chicken just ok. Mixed vegetables served with dinner were from a frozen bag and still cold. Boiled potatoes were plain and not spiced. Fish was ok but nothing exciting. Sardines were good. Garlic bread was ok. A bit light on garlic. Would not eat here again. Nice tablecloths, nice ambience. That's about it.

The online translation of picanha is fillet. Beware it’s not accurate. My picanha was tasty but it’s from the back of the bovine and contains a large piece of fat. However the food was generally tasty and the service good.

Stayed here for our first two nights in Madeira. Clean, spacious with a small balcony over looking a small street. No kettle in the room but no problem when I asked for some hot water to make tea in the evening. Polite, friendly, staff. Good position to explore Machico.
