Although hotel has a quite out of town location it is still easily accessible from Casa da Musica with buses 902, 903, 907. By walk there is a wonderful path along riverside into the town (Ponte Luis) approx 5 kms. I preferred this option to get into the town. It is safe and relaxing to walk along Duoro. Breakfast variety is more than enough for budget hotel. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds for a great price. I can only recommmend to stay here when visiting the wonderful Porto.

I stayed quite some times in this hotel, it ain't luxury but the relationship price - quality is very good. Very well located, but you must have a car when staying here. Close to the main motorway to Lisbon, as well as a nice Shopping Centre.

Nice and basic hotel but all we needed during our visit to Porto. Also free parking was useful. Amazing cleanliness of the property and happy staff. Breakfast was also ok. Would recommend 100% to anyone looking for a cheap and cheerful base to explore the city.

The air conditioning did not work. No light in the toilet. Besides, the rest worked without problems. Quiet room. Breakfast is modest, as in Ibis Budget, but you can be satisfied and eat. Service very nice.

Stayed at this hotel for five nights, with my wife, from Thursday 27th September until Tuesday 2nd October 2018. We booked a deal including breakfast. We are fairly well travelled, having stayed in many different hotels throughout Europe and beyond, and always look for budget accommodation, usually do our homework correctly and get it right, checking reviews etc. before travelling, but on this occasion we fell a little short. I guess the biggest clue should have been in the hotel title. We were allocated a room on the 3rd floor, room 302. When we entered the room our hearts immediately sank. Our room consisted of a double bed, with a bunk bed attached above. The room was very small. The only storage space was about 4 or 5 coat hangers hanging in an open corner next to the window. We had to live out of our suitcases for the duration of our stay, and fortunately we were able to stow our cases (which was only hand luggage!) under the bed. At this point I would say to others think very carefully if travelling with full size cases. The small sink was in the actual room itself. The shower was accessed via the room by a glass door that opened. The toilet itself was just at the side of the door, and was barely big enough for purpose. A small TV was affixed in the corner over a workbench. Free Wi-Fi was okay. Air conditioning functioned. Our room faced the back, or should I say the opposite side from the main road. Windows only opened a fraction. Black out blinds were very effective. Beds were a touch on the hard side but acceptable. Breakfast the next morning was another disappointment. The breakfast room is small, next to the small reception. Breakfast times are variable but it didn't seem to matter what time we went for breakfast during our stay it was always busy and vacant tables were hard to find. One type of cereal and some muesli. Tropical or orange fruit juice. Hot drinks. Bread and breakfast rolls. Croissants. Small tarts. Basic yoghurts. Jelly. Ham and cheese. Most of the above were what we would consider budget brand. There are vending machines within the small seating area where hot and cold drinks, chocolate bars, snacks, and microwaveable snacks/meals can be purchased. There is a microwave oven within the vending station for this purpose. Credit where credit is due 330ml cans of juice were only €1.10 which is not bad at all for hotel prices. For us, the best experience of the hotel was undoubtedly the reception and hotel staff who were always very pleasant and helpful with information and directions, and with any other queries. Our homeward bound flight wasn't until late evening but they were still happy to keep our luggage for us free of charge after we had checked out. It was clear to see that the staff are all assets to the company as in the mornings for example they have to handle the reception desk as well as making sure that the breakfast room is running smoothly and food/drinks are constantly topped up or replenished. Lift tip - After entering and pressing the desired number, press the door close button too, and this speeds the lift operation up considerably. Location - The hotel is situated in Vila Nova De Gaia which is a good few minutes away from Porto, and on the opposite side of the river. If going to the hotel from Porto airport take the metro from the airport to Casa Da Musica. From Casa Da Musica take the number 903 route bus to a bus stop near the hotel. From the bus stop it is a 5-10 minute walk firstly down a hill then rising again before arriving at the hotel complex. There are different ways to get to Porto from the hotel but the easiest way we found was to take the 903 route bus to Joao de Deus and from there either take the metro to Jardim do Morro and walk across the Ponte de Dom Luis I bridge into Porto or stay on the metro until you reach Sao Bento station. To sum up our experience - Personally, it was just a bit too basic for us in every aspect. Although budget travellers, we would pay a little more the next time for something a little more upmarket. Hotel was clean. A little out of the way, and buses not always reliable. Reasonably priced vending machines. As already mentioned the staff were all excellent.
