A quirky and curious hotel / resort. From arrival to departure they have an unusual style and method. Check-in takes forever! Whilst being professional and friendly it is unnecessarily long and you are presented with too much detail and explanation. It is not really a 5* hotel and, at best, is an ok 4* - nothing more.
Breakfast is a curious mix between healthy eating and self-service chaos. You have to get everything yourself! No table service, even for fruit juice and coffee! Indeed, if you order a coffee, you are charged for it(?)
The rooms are pleasant and relatively quiet but the air conditioning does not function adequately or quietly. Nice bathrooms. The exterior swimming pool needs new decking, it is old and tired, plus not cleaned daily, with leaves and tree debris. No pool drinks service.
Overall it was a pleasant 2 night stay but this hotel does not conform to the norms you expect in a location claiming to be high-end. I don’t want “pleasant” when paying for 5*. I want an experience that you remember and want to return.
