This is a very nice three star hotel, in a great setting right on the lovely Alvor beach. Rooms are pleasant enough, no wardrobes just open shelves and hanging rail. Very bizarre mural on the ceiling. No kettle in room - take a travel kettle with you. Bathrooms very pleasant. Beds very comfortable, towels changed daily.
Very limited choice at breakfast, although what little hot food that was supplied was perfectly nice. Bar shuts at 6.00pm. Three small swimming pools, cool, but not too cold to go in. reasonable number of sunbeds, shortage of umbrellas, and free Balanese beds. Hotel very quiet whilst we were there so no issue getting sunbed.
Evening meals served in Sea Deck which is a bit scruffy, scratced Formica tables, and it felt a bit like a tired seaside cafe. Food option VERY limited, same limited choice every night, which after 14 nights gets very boring. Don't go half board as there are loads of better and cheaper restaurants in the town.. Waiting staff reasonably efficient but not over friendly, same with breakfast staff. Reception staff are incredibly friendly and extremely helpful.. Complete mix of guests, English, French, Dutch, German and a lot of Portugues. COVID precautions taken very seriously. All in all a very pleasant holiday, the only real issue being the dire lack of choice food-wise, but if you go B&B and eat out at night, problem sorted.
