The property is beautiful and expansive, the location is quite convenient for the beaches and close to Viana do Castello.
Guests don't stay in the manor that is on main picture-it is reserved for owners. Guests stay in what was worker's house one day, it looks, so it's a rustic peasant style with low ceiling. Exotic, but one needs to know, which is not conclusive from their website.
The service is very cheap:
- breakfast of coffee and bread+salted butter+ jam pre-packed, all of which are cheapest roadside diner kind. soy milk, instead of real one. if you didn't finish it, they re-serve leftover bread for next day..
-towels of the cheapest kind that feel to be falling apart as you use them
-faded, mismatched sheets
The mattress is exceedingly hard, like a plank of wood, also not comfortable to fit two even small people. Never complained about this aspect before, but at Quinta unless you are dead tired its impossible to sleep.
Outdoor furniture for rooms is quite cheap. They also have a swimming pool walking distance on the property, it is lovely, but sun-chairs have no mattresses. Tennis court is not functioning, all asphalt is cracked.
Bottom line, we were shocked how cheap the place service is, even a little care would cost less than one-two euro a day, which means a profit of at least 80 kept...what a shame for such a lovely estate.
