I traveled once again in september 2020 in this hotel to enjoy my holiday in Lisbon. It's not the first time I came back to Metropolitan Hotel because the balance between quality and price is good, the staff is nice and professional and I feel good in a hotel that I know well.
The cleanliness was good, and all security protocols against Covid 19 was respected. At reception they have cleaned with alcool both the pen for sign check-in documents and electronic key. They also used termoscanner once a day.
In restaurant I found all food and drinks in single-use and completely sealed; fork, knives, spoons and napskins was provided only when customer came. Thats, to avoid risk of air and covid-19 exposition risks.
Was not the very big buffet of the past, but was all good, fresh and delicious. If something was finish, just asked to the staff to obtain immediately new portions.
The cleanliness of room and lifts was good.
To welcome me, I found a little chocolate with a card with Fernando Pessoa's poetry, and a bottle of water (for free).
In bar I enjoyed a very pleasant evening.
Because I booked on their official site, I get a 10% discount in bar and restaurant (was in september 2020, please check if is still valid).
In conclusion, we are living times where Covid-19 can create worsening of the quality of life for all of us, but in this hotel I found a really and positive atmosphere. I will come back again.
