Entering my room, found 3 euro bottle of water, BUT the metal lid was unscrewing itself when trying to open it, so I went to the reception. A 2nd. bottle was delivered, thinking everything is OK. EVEN THE 2nd BOTTLE WAS ALREADY OPENED AND UNSCREWED. I went AGAIN to reception and explained this,without requesting anything else, as the receptionist started shouting at the employee. I appeased my thirst with TAP WATER as it was safer to drink from the sink. After 10 minutes, the room phone started to ring looong, TWICE, in the middle of the night! Not only in our room, but in our friend's room, disturbing them also, for no reason. After hearing my situation, Mr.Fran could only apologize a few times. I asked him, how can we resolve this situation? Because it's now check-out time and as my friends are on their honeymoon, we want to book another night, despite the problems encountered. His astonishing answer was: "Why do you still want to stay at our hotel for another night, if you didn't like your stay? The answer from a hotel general manager! I answered that my friends like the location, so I'm somehow obligated to book another night. He answered that unfortunately the hotel is fully booked, but if I really want to, he can check the availability for both rooms for an extra night! Is this how you make your clients come back? Asked if a compensation can be provided for the stress and time wasted caused not only in the night, but also in the morning, only apologies were offered.

We booked a last minute trip as soon as Portugal was announced to be on the UK green travel list. We found an excellent deal for this hotel and as we have stayed a few times before we knew the location etc and it was the easy option as the booking was last minute. Hotel was welcoming and was COVID safe. There was plenty of hand sanitiser and all facilities were spotlessly clean. Rooms were marked with a COVID safe sticker over the door seal prior to you opening the door for the first time. Breakfast is still available, but staff serve you behind the counters which seemed to be a new practice, and they were trying different methods each day when we were there to see which worked best. Staff were very friendly and clearly glad to see some guests back. Some staff members seemed new, or perhaps had been off work for a while during quieter periods, and they took some time to take orders, bring drinks etc, but this was not a problem, we had plenty of time, and it was nice to be able to get away after such a long period of lockdown. Pool area was very clean and I spotted loungers being sanitised. Hotel is in an excellent location at the end of a stunning white sand beach, plenty of parking, great facilities and a short walk (up steps) to Praia da rocha and bars and restaurants. It is worth mentioning that there is a water taxi (paid) in the Marina which takes you to ferragudo across the arade river, and also portimao. Ferragudo is a pretty little village on the river with bars and restaurants. Worth a visit for lunch for sure. In short, looking forward to coming back!

We made a booking via a 3rd party website early July. Hotel confirmed our room type and reservation and made note of our special requests. We booked our flights, transfers and F1 tickets which have all been paid in full with no refunds. Then last week we was advised that the hotel have cancelled all reservations as they have taken a private event which is probably for the F1! No apologies ! No compensation ! We are now left with no where to stay. Absolutely appalling!!

It was my sixth time that I visited the Tivoli Marina Portimão. This time at the end of February. Like always it was a joy. The weather, the people, the food. I stayed in the hotel part Marina Beach. A studio with kitchenette, balcony and sight on the marina. The backgound sound was always the waves of the Atlantic ocean and the yachts - I love it. It calms me down every time. Mission accomplished. The room was clean as usual, the maids do their work every day and are always in a good temper and very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and rich like always. And the staff in general is so nice. Always a smile on the lips, accommodating and time for a little chat - if you haven't lost your voice and have to whisper like I had to because of a cold that I had just before my vacation. The staff at the front desk offered me some bus tours (bus tour to Lisbon and to the eastern Algarve) and a ride on a boat to the caves of Benagil. Those trips were great. Thank you for offering. Queria agradecer ao pessoal! Espero ficar no seu hotel outra vez quando a pandemia é terminada e viajar é possivel. Até à próxima! Muito obrigada!

We arrived in December. The hotel is empty. The guy is very not friendly at the desk. Hotel is empty but the guy say there is no clean room. He just don’t want to let us check before the check time just because it’s the policy. Staff very rude
