Me, my husband and mother stayed here for two weeks in Sept 2020 booked through Love Holidays. Our apartment was a good size, on the middle floor, clean with view of the pool. The cost of the safe was very expensive at 20 euros a week, plus another 30 euros deposit in case we lost the key - we got the deposit back at the end of the holiday. If you come to this hotel, make sure you always leave your valuables in the safe as a pair of my nice silver earrings went missing. The pool was well maintained, but quite a few raised loose paving slabs around the pool so was a hazard, the water was very cold indeed and on the perimeter of the pool (quite close) to the sunbeds, were blocks of private apartments where two dogs barked throughout the whole day and even in the evening, it was dreadful. We complained about it to the reception but nothing happened. We had to have our ipod music on all day to drown out the noise. FOOD - We paid for half board (breakfast and evening meal) the breakfast was the same every morning, scrambled eggs, beans and bacon which was always cold, so I insisted on having it heated up in the microwave every day!! There was also continental breakfast. The dining room is small and set up like a Cafe, you have to queue to be served for every item you require to eat apart from tea and coffee where you can help yourself. I sent an email prior to our holiday explaining that I need Gluten Free meals due to Coeliac disease. This is not difficult, it means I cannot tolerate Wheat, Barley and Rye. When we arrived to eat, the waitress (who was pleasant) said the cook had received my email but it quickly became obvious that they did not know anything about Gluten Free Diets. They thought I could not have Dairy products and were at a loss as to what to give me. I ended up going to a supermarket to buy my own GF bread, GF Cereal and GF pasta and took them to the Cafe every day. Surely being a hotel that provides meals for guests, the cook would have had knowledge about GF foods - there are millions of us with this, even Portuguese people!! The evening meals were absolutely terrible (and we are not fussy eaters). These meals were obviously created within an extremely low budget so we did not get anywhere near value for money. Most of the meals were mashed up tiny bits of fish or meat (which we could not even see, let alone taste) with potato/rice/pasta. A pasta bolognaise meal consisted of pasta with mashed up cheap meat with no recognisable bolognaise sauce, no taste whatsoever, no veg was seen either. We could not face any more of this food after 5 days so we bought our own and cooked it in the apartment and sometimes bought decent meals from the snack bar adjoined to the hotel by the pool area. The mini-market adjoined to the hotel was empty and closed up so we had to travel to a supermarket in Portimao. We were effectively paying twice for what should have been a half board holiday. We suggest that the hotel get another catering company and a bigger food budget. No gym, no spa, no massage. Beach nice, but a long walk to get to the flat end of the beach (for my 82 yr old mother) the nearer end of the beach to the hotel has a huge sandy slope to climb up and down. We hired a car which was not excessively expensive. Overall this was a disappointing hotel. Would not recommend it, there must be better ones around this area.

Do not stay here! Only book a room in this hotel if there aren't other options around. The reception staff is extremely unpleasant and not at all welcoming. For the price there are many other options nearby actually worth the price. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Algarve based on the poor quality for price and the unacceptable service.

Hotel is very clean, staff were all very nice bar one man at the pool bar, entertainment / kids club team worked very hard. Location was ideal for us as its a little off the beaten track and very quiet, kitchen had all the essentials, swimming pools are very nice and there were no mad dashes for sunbeds, we had breakfast included which was good too. Only slight issue we had was that our room was directly above the lobby and so was a little loud but it wouldn't put me off staying again. The beach is lovely and only about 10/15 minutes walk away, there are some good quiet restaurants along the beach too.

Our stay started really annoying. We could only have one key card. "Because some guests leave one card to keep the aircon running". But after a few days I managed to accidentially leave the card in the room - so I got an extra. Without comments. We needed the deposit box. This has to be paid in cash, as the deposit boxes are not part of the hotel. We wanted to use the Gym. But the Gym is not part of the hotel, so nobody really knows when it is open or why it is not open even though it should be. We had breakfast once in the restaurant. Guess what - you cannot charge this to the room as the restaurant is not part of the hotel. Breakfast was not superb, "orange juice" was water with added orange colour. Massage - no, this is outsourced as well, and nobody is there. Happy we got a room which seemed to be part of the hotel, the room was OK, clean except for a lot of ants. (they were not part of the hotel, I guess) The fridge missed the door to the freezing compartment. First they claimed that this is how it should be.. until a senior receptionist turned up, and we had it changed.

Had a really lovely week at the end of the summer holidays here. Hotel is great and staff are fantastic. The apartments are very spacious and probably the cleanest hotel I have stayed in. The cleaning team were fantastic. It would seem alot of attention goes into keeping this place spotless and it pays off. The reception, restaurant and bar staff were all polite, professional and extremely helpful. The lady advising on day trips was also a bonus for us and gave us great advice for booking a waterpark (we chose the smaller Aqualand and were glad we did when we drove past slide and splash and saw the queues!) The entertainment staff were also great, polite and engaging without being pushy. We didn't really take part in the entertainment but lots did and seemed to be having fun. Hotel staff also gave me a bottle of wine on my birthday which was a lovely surprise. The pool was a great size and never too busy,we rarely had an issue getting sun beds. The kids loved the pool snack bar. My only slight complaint about this whole hotel would be a couple of minor repairs that are needed at the pool, wobbly steps and a loose paving slab etc but nothing major. The pool water was also a little murky at times so maybe some work required on filtration system but nothing that would have put me off using the pool or our to spoil our enjoyment at all. We had breakfast included which had something to please all the family, including 2 very fussy eaters. The fresh fruit and cooked tomatos were good, pastries and bread excellent. I wasn't so keen on the cooked meats but there was certainly enough choice to please my family. Overall I really liked the area. The hotel is a bit set apart from the beach area making it quiet which we enjoyed. There was night time entertainment at the hotel on a small scale but we didn't really utilise this it the quality of this seemed good. We didn't hire a car but the beach is an easy walking distance and Portimao is a short taxi ride and great for restaurants etc. There is also a great pizza restaurant less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel which I would highly recommend. If you want a relaxing family holiday this place is perfect. I guess if you want a bit more nightlife with a jazzy strip of clubs and bars this is not the spot for you. But I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to return at some point.
