Just amazing every time we go! With incredible views, awesome staff and nothing but a relaxing feeling, there is nothing better than Castleburn! Thank you for also going the extra mile by spoiling us on our honeymoon.

A wonderful and refreshing holiday. The mountain views and tranquility is breathtaking. The resort has so many outdoor activities and it is a wonderful holiday venue for families. We were pleasantly surprised with the meals at the Lake View Restaurant. Highly recommended.

Great that a large number of geese have been relocated away from the public areas as cleanliness has improved. Maintenance is very poor. Things that break do not get fixed properly, just removed. i.e. drawers of the bedside table do not get replaced, just removed so there are no drawers, fridge shelves that are just missing, a kitchen cupboard shelve just missing. One of the jetties seems to have broken and have just simply have been removed, not repaired or replaced. A light fitting gets repaired with a piece of string holding it in the correct place. Some of the small dustbins are very badly dented and looks like it comes from a salvage sale. Water seeping through the roof onto the floor, into cupboards, onto the furniture. This has been reported over several years, yet the same problem remains. Take your own Q10 as the cupboards hinges and fridge hinges squeaked badly in some rooms. A dried, dead frog was found under the bathroom vanity. Most of the sliding doors are not working well and are difficult to open. Weeds growing on the patio, braai grill lose at the corners where the welding came loose. The small dams are very poorly maintained. Used to be a great fishing resort, now people struggle to fish the dams due to all the grass in the dams. Some dams browner and grass than water. When an average fisherman catches three fish in a week, the fishing is not good. Lots of grass in the big lake. Reeds are ever-increasing and reducing access to portions of the waters. I believe that Castleburn will lose its status as a good fishing resort unless more is done than cutting the grass and stocking the dams. A resort where it looks great from the public areas yet seems to be deteriorating from the living experience and fishing point of view. We will go back again, but wish that the living areas and fishing will be better maintained. Not good enough to take friends

Family getaway... Chalets were quiet and peaceful. Staff welcoming and helpful. Overall a good stay and relaxing too. Lots of activities... We did not participate in group activities. Food from restaurant was yum. And practiced good social distancimg.

You won't regret your stay in this beautiful setting, surrounded by the most perfect views! If you like to fish you'll particularly enjoy the well stocked dams and the kids had more than enough to keep them entertained. Will definitely return!
