Premier Hotel Sani Pass

An excellent venue and has been revamped as I was there on conference 20 years ago, experienced rain during the weekend this was a challenge as we were not aware that the entertainment area was not available and heated pool was out of order, had we been aware we would have changed vacation date. Large pleasant clean rooms, enjoyed the karaoke on Friday night, bingo on Saturday night. The buffet dinner was good on Saturday night. Would certainly consider a trip in the near future to Sani Pass hotel after confirming facilities in order.

My husband & I attended Sani Pass Resort last year December, had a TERRIBLE experience all in all, & topped it off by getting food poisoning from the Salmon dinner I had on our last night. We expressed our disappointment to the manager (Derek) on departure, which he just brushed off & made all sorts of excuses. I was too sick to argue, so I made a complaint in January to top management. 35 emails later, after being promised I would be compensated for our expensive meal, I STILL have not received anything from them. NEVER have I EVER dealt with such incompetent management. Very frustrating and disappointing!

Firstly one has to give these resorts some slack as starting up from lockdown is difficalt at best. This resort have suffered the last year from a lockdown and a fire. The rooms and food are very good and the schenary is gorgeous. We also enjoyed the spa and horse riding facilities. The resort is however a victim of its own website. The website promises heated pools and other facilities that are not avalible. Some of the hiking trails are also fenced off with barbed wire which was not communicated to us by the staff. It would be best to call the hotel to confirm which facilities are avalible before booking. The hotel will hopefully restore all its facilities once covid passes. But till then call and confirm to avoid dissapointment.

Firstly upon arrival, the person at reception was not very welcoming. Most of the activities advertised were not available, such as, 1. Golf Course, will take years to get that mess up and going again. Its destroyed! Not in use. 2. Mini Golf, in a terrible state. The obstacles are all the weeds that are growing in the middle of the very aged artificial turf. The toilet next to the "Putt Putt" has not been cleaned in years and there is faeces splattered all over the place. 3. Bowling Green, not green. Not available. 4. Archery, not available. 5. No picknic baskets. 6. The Buffets can get really boring after day 3. Not much of a change from day to day. 7. The cost of the food offered will equal the cost of your stay... 8. The Manager, Count Dracula as the staff refer to him. 9. Woman's toilet at the bar area, hand wash dispenser broken. 10. No hot water in room on 1st morning there, had a very cold shower, repaired later after reporting it. 11. Fire place in room not functioning, no gas. 12. No Bar fridge. 13. R50 surcharge for a delivery of a R25 Ice bucket. 14. Balancing Rocks, couldn't find them in the 5 days that we were there... We liked the following, 1. Each others company. 2. Our waitress, fantastic personality. 3. The walks to the Waterfalls. 4. The Bingo. And the Guy who hosted it was very entertaining. 5. The Pastry Chef. 6. The A la Carte menu on Sunday evening was good. 7. My Wife loved her trip to the Spa. Said it was the best she has had in ages.

This resort nestled at the foot of the southern drakensberg mountains make it an ideal getaway. The peace and sheer tranquillity envelops you as you approach the resort. The breathtaking views of the majestic drakensberg mountains hold one in awe. Only 3.5 hours drive from Durban. Stunning reception area. Staff is hmmm Okay. Can do better to welcome guests. Spacious rooms. Hugemongous beds (superior room). 9 hole golf course. Hiking, spa, pool area, or jus sit in the lounge area and take it all in (which is what we did😆) Dinner was fantastic. A buffet with a mouthwatering spread for every palate. Breakfast was equally devine. Indulged in an espresso martini (for me) and mai Tai (hubby) at the bar. It was a fabulous weekend 💕
