Dott hotel myeongdong

I found this place through a random internet search while looking for lodging I decided to try it out. The single room is small but it will work just fine for 1 person or a couple if you are traveling on a budget and don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room you can't beat the price and quality. The rooms are clean and has a TV, A/C, private bathroom. They include free breakfast but is actually juice, pastries,toast, and coffee is not included. The bed was a bit hard as are common here.

Location is at its best, if you’re looking for a heart of the central of the city of Seoul. You can find anything in Myeongdong, street food at night, tons of restaurants all day, and shops everywhere. Close to two major train station in Seoul, you can practically hop on to go anywhere. The only thing that made me not to rate 5-star is the thin walls in each room, where you can hear everything in your right and your left (yes, both sides). As loud as a laughter, and as quiet as an iPhone message notifications. Better be packing your finest sleeping earbuds!

Since my friends and I travelled in December we found the room to be small but cozy. Yes for heavy travellers you might find not much space but for us it wasn’t an issue. We had a pleasant stay. We were greeted at the reception, she was very helpful... she gave us a map of Myeongdong showing us where our go to spots were. Even a one day tour to Nami Island, Petite France etc were arranged for us. I found the location to be good..not among the crowd and not isolated either... just right... the bathroom though it’s small... it is clean. All in all the hotel was Cozy, clean and just right.

I have visited Seoul many times over the years, and this hotel has given me a different experience. Firstly, I read the review on Agoda that it’s good but I forgot to search on TripAdvisor. With the looks of the photos, I booked the room and was excited to check in. Lobby is situated on 4th floor, bear in mind, if you plan to travel with many luggages, this place is not for you. With one check in luggage and one cabin luggage, I can barely walk in the room already. Not to mention I needed to wait until 5.30pm for my room to be ready because they only had one housekeeper working. It’s not that they have many rooms anyways. After a tiring long haul flight, all I needed was a freshen up and to get my gloves and scarf but I can’t. So I had to suffer in the cold weather, just to wait for my room. After checking in, I was very disappointed with my room, not only it was soooooo tiny, with 1 person already it is small, with 2 you can barely walk. The bathroom and toilet is so small that when you shower, the water just fills up the bin in the toilet, and if you are slightly chubbier, you definitely can’t move in the bathroom and your legs will be touching the toilet bowl constantly during your shower. You might as well not shower then. The price I paid is not exactly that cheap. I moved out on night 2 because the bed is rock hard, it’s like you’re sleeping on a piece of wood. I had sore back and neck from this. I moved to another hotel nearby with much better facilities, so please research with prices of the many hotels available in myeongdong. The fire alarm went on at 2am, when everybody was deeply asleep. And it went on for 30 minutes, but, the hotel did nothing about it. This hotel is located at a far end of myeongdong. You can find much better hotel in the central with the same price you pay. So, think twice before you book this hotel because I definitely won’t come back anymore.

Many people complain about this hotel but I really like this hotel, I stayed 3 nights at room 401. How to get this hotel just by train or limousine bus from Incheon Airport stop in Myeongdong find the L7 Hotel and road beside hotel and turn right behind L7 Hotel around 100 m. Clean room, completed with heater and air con, friendly front office, water dispenser microwave and small kitchen in 5th floor, coffee shop in GF, I really like this hotel quiet even tough surrounded by shops, close also to Catholic Church Cathedral Myeongdong also shopping places, foods and etc, next time I will stay here again.
