The hostel is very clean and staff is always nice and friendly. I spent 2 nights and would definitely stay there again! 5 minutes walk from exit 15 of Jongno3ga station. If you have heavy luggages, use exit 14. There is no elevator but there is a small elevator for luggages. Neighborhood is quiet and there is no noise. For those who are not acquainted to Korea, the street may look strange, but it is very safe. Room is cleaned on a daily basis around 11am. I very much recommend the hostel!

Pros and cons to this place, but overall not bad for a cheap stay for a couple nights. Pros: really good location, walking distance to some of the main sights and the metro. Only 2 stops from Seoul station. It is cheap, there is bread, jam, and coffee for breakfast. There is also free laundry. Decently clean except the shared kitchen, that was gross, room and bathroom were fine. Cons: soundproofing isn’t really a thing in Korea, so noise is just part of the deal but this was a whole other level. You can hear EVERYTHING in the next room. Everything, word for word like they are sitting next to you. I could actually hear the person in the next room sigh and spit when brushing their teeth. We could other intimate goings on in the room too that I could have done without. If you choose to stay here bring earplugs, seriously. Also whisper for the sake of others. The bathroom is literally the size of an airplane washroom. For real. Might not be ideal for everyone. The bathroom wall/door is see through, so also consider how up close and personal you want to be with the person you are sharing your room with.

Pros: -good location, near 2 subway stations -very friendly staff -complete amenities like laundry area, kitchen, heated floor, water heater, toiletries, wifi, etc. -near myeongdong and there are lots of decent resto around -i was able to book at a very cheap rate for 3 nights cons: -not for claustrophobic people, very small bedroom, good for sleeping only -very small bathrooom -breakfast is only bread and jam, no other option -you need to climb to 3rd floor to get into the room, no elevator -you can hear noises from the other room and hallway over all, i would still recommend this place. they deserve 5 star for a great value in price

My relative booked this place for us for 8 nights, we booked knowing full well that it would be squishy and the reviews aren't wrong. We found it difficult to find the place to begin with as it is down a creepy alley way as one reviewer mentioned, however for your reference it is literally next door to the big HOTEL MONG, remember that! Look up to see chloe hostel signage, there should be one sign standing upright pointing to the hostel entrance which is behind a restaurant. We booked knowing we were staying on the bottom level, only to realize when we got there that the bottom level is actually 3 levels up. They semi share the building with the restaurant. You go up the first set of stairs to find Mr Kim the owner of the place. He speaks perfect english and was incredibly helpful! There was no problem checking in at all and he remained helpful throughout the duration of our stay. We had our massive luggage lifted to our floor with the help of Mr Kim. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: the place seemed real ghetto from the outside to inside, peeling stairs and broken bits etc so we weren't expecting much, however when we got to our level and opened the entrance door to our level we were met with a normal looking clean hotel area. Was always super warm too with free water/coffee etc. rubbish disposal and magazines/tour pamphlets. Our room was cosy - I mean the toilet and shower area was super COSY. There is room for one suitcase to fit in the wardrobe though eventually we just left it out for greater access. The TV works well. The WIFI is 50/50, works some days and mostly just doesn't but it didn't bother us as we had a WIFI egg we hired from the airport (highly recommended! cost us around $80AUD for 2GB a day wifi for 13 days). Not that wifi isn't EVERYWHERE in south Korea its incredible. Our bed was a good size as we are both big people, the only downside was that the blanket was too SMALL! THANKFULLY the heater in the room is a lifesaver because after the first night I slept without a blanket thanks to the warmth in the room which you can control. Starbucks is on the same street, a mart is around the corner and if you walk up your street to the end, it takes you to the main street where you will find other stores etc. We managed to find a KFC that is only a 10-15 minute walk too, Mcdonalds is about the same also in the direction of the train station, both close at 12AM and where we went when we wanted western takeaway lol The train station is only a 5-10 minute walk and was super convenient as we took the subway EVERYWHERE. PROS: - 10 minutes from train station - Close to starbucks and other food places, mini mart, shops etc. - Great friendly owner always ready to help when available CONS: - Tiny - Wifi doesn't always work - No elevator for luggage or access to floor - One room card per room - You have to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper - STAIRS Overall we loved our stay and would return but probably for a much shorter stay.
