This hotel is now called the Hotel Sopra Incheon Songna. It's a decent tourist hotel in the newer part of Incheon. The location is interesting. There's lots of small hotels and motels in the area, so it seems lika a motel alley. There's also a lot of local restaurants, bars and Korean BBQ places. There's also a supermarket behind the hotel.
Check in was quick, considering I was traveling with a big group, and the reception staff were nice, even though they did not know much English. You can rent an adaptor plug for 1000 won deposit.
The room itself was adequate, with a clean bathroom and the modern automatic toilet that I love. Bed was firm but good for sleeping. It was hard to operate the TV, since the remote was in Korean, so was unable to really use it. The sink was in the bedroom itself, which is a bit novel.
This hotel is quite popular with busloads of tour groups, so it can get crowded in the lobby, elevators and the dining area during breakfast. Best to wake up early so you can get a table. The breakfast was typical Korean/Chinese fare, so expect a lot of carbs!
It's only a 3-minute walk to the Soegu Office Station on the new Incheon Line 2 subway. To get to central Seoul though, you need to travel around an hour and a half, changing subway lines.
Overall, it's a good hotel for a short stay in Seoul and is conveniently located near a subway stop and just about 30 minutes from Incheon airport.. But if you're in South Korea for the first time and want to visit the city itself, this can be quite far.
