Catedral Suites Santiago

We stayed in the garden apartment. As soon as we walked in we could smell damp. There was a dehumidifier in one of the bedrooms which was not a good sign. We opened all the doors and windows to clear the air which helped temporarily. The smell seemed to be permeating from the lounge and on moving a few conveniently place pots there were clear patches of damp and mould. By the second day, having spent the night with the smell of damp in the air, we contacted the owner whose response was to bring back the dehumidifier and offer us free use of the fridge contents in compensation. A gesture but we really wanted the problem resolved so we could get on with our holiday. We wrote to them again saying that their actions were inadequate but received no further communication. In our opinion the place is not fit to rent out in its current state. Apart from the noxious smell, the apartment needed some attention. Door handles came off in your hands, sliding doors to clothes cupboards had come of their runners and almost impossible to open and a vanity table had broken at the leg joints and was barely holding together. Location is good, pick up from the airport was efficient and on the surface the apartment was modern and nicely appointed but none of that mattered when you could only enjoy the place with a gale whistling through the apartment. It totally spoilt our stay and we will not be returning to or recommending the apartments.

I arrived to Santiago de Compostela for business this week. After the first night I realized that my room is infected by the bed bugs. The only one recommendation to tourists: keep away from this terrible place!

Great Location. Only downfall is no parking, you have to park at a parking lot that is about 20 Euros a day, and a lot of stairs with no elevator. If you do not mind taking suitcases up stairs it is ok. We had the 2nd and third floor so we had to take suitcases up.

This apartment is ideally located in Santiago de Compostela. We stayed here for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The 3-bedroom we rented was perfect for 5 travelers. We would go to the Cathedral and the old town through Parque Alameda and it was always wonderful. The owner or manager of the place even arranged for transfer from and to the airport. We had a very wonderful stay in this apartment!

This place is in a fantastic allocation, just 5 minutes walking to the Obradoiro square. You can take two directions, one is directly by the street and the other one is crossing Alameda park. We stayed in a flat, wide, comfortable with all commodities. The owner was very kind when he offered a car park place for all days. Nice experience.
