Located on the edge of town this is a typical Parador which is to say very good. There's plenty of secure parking on the other side of the road and it is less than ten minutes to walk to the main part of the town. All Covid-19 measures were being scrupulously followed by the excellent English speaking staff. Our room was spacious and had everything you could need. We stayed on half-board and enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. At breakfast you were given a pair of disposable tongs which enabled you to serve yourself without touching any cutlery. Hot food was cooked to order. There was a garden overlooking the river in which we enjoyed a pre-dinner drink.

We had a pleasant stay at the Parador in Ribadeo, which has great views and is situated just a few minutes' walk from the city center. The breakfast buffet is above average for a parador, which means it far surpases any in the U.S. Alas, the hotel was being renovated, which meant a slightly roundabout way to our room and weak Wi-Fi. The room was comfortable, with what a cousin defined as "austere luxury," and the bathroom was typically oversized. Despite the construction, the room was quiet and we were able to enjoy wonderful views of the Ria de Eo and Asturias across the river. Parking was free, across the street, and the receptionist was very helpful, providing us with an excellent street map of Ribadeo.

We stopped here for one night only. Thoroughly enjoyed it. It was incredibly good value and on arrival we were offered a room with a sea view for an extra, I think it was, 13 Euros. What a great investment and what a super room! It was vast and had a balcony with sunbeds [it was February, didn't need those] and the most marvellous view. The secure parking was a real boon. As with all Paradors, the bar and the bar food was expensive for Spain. I think we spent more there than we did on our room! I would love to come back in a warmer season but expect it will be pretty pricey.

The staff of the Parador were extremely helpful and the room overlooked the river and the loading dock. The rooms, with their closed porches, are lovely, and the breakfast is the usual parador great. This parador also served ice cream from cheese that was delicious.

Nice modern Parador on a bluff overlooking the river. Great location for touring Asturias and Galicia coasts. Close to town for enjoying a "tapas crawl". Great food at the Parador and a nice bar area. Outside garden area for relaxing. Plenty of parking.
