We stayed at the Carlton for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed much longer. We have booked a spacious Junior Suite with 65 sqm, but the hotel actually offers pretty large rooms throughout their categories and they all have a perfect view over the lake and the valley. The design of the rooms and suites is definitely something else and not your standard design. It is just great to soak up this extravagant atmosphere. Our room was in excellent shape as if the hotel just opened yesterday. From arrival with the hotel's Bentley limousine service at the train station until departure all the staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. Once arriving at the Carlton you immediately feel a sense of relaxation as the hotel and the team manage to put you in a vacation mindset straight away. Currently breakfast is served a la carte and includes a variety of dishes where everybody will find something they like. Quality and presentation are excellent. Definitely a highlight and a must visit is the Italian restaurant Da Vittorio which has earned 2 Michelin stars. We enjoyed a spectacular tasting menu which was our best dining experience in our lives so far. Both the quality and presentation of the food, but also the service team were remarkable. All in all, we will never forget our amazing stay at the Carlton and will definitely be back in the future!!!

The hotel is strategically located at only 9mins from the main station, and so close to both the city center and the beautiful lake of St.Moritz. In winter season, I would recommend going up with a taxi, as walking up is a bit of a struggle. We were given a room with spectacular view and which was perfectly cleaned. I am a housekeeping supervisor and I can tell I was totally blown away by the cleaniness. The Gondola Pop-Up is such a cute way to experience the authentic mountain vibe. Also, the main restaurant was very classy and descrete, where we able to enjoy a plant-based menu. Should also mention that breakfast service was truly amazing: cordial and very guest-oriented. Big thanks to Nicola for an amazing service. The spa was also an highlight: the outdoor pool was one of my personal favourites (I suggest to go for a short swim either early in the morning or at sunset time), and the view from the whole pool-spa area is just breathtaking. Overall, a very delightful experience, and worth of mention is the attention to the safety of guests and staff during Covid-19 times: from the restaurant service to overall cleaningness we felt safe till the very last second.

We celebrated NYE in St. Moritz at the Carlton hotel. When we checked out after a beautiful stay, something really extraordinary happened.. I forgot on of my bags at the hotel. We called the hotel and 3 hours later a driver from the hotel delivered the bag (3 hours drive from the hotel to our apartment) without charging us anything. They even gave us two gifts from the pastry chef. This is what I call extraordinary service and kindness. Can’t wait to go back to the Carlton! PS. We also received a handwritten “safe travels” letter from the GM when the bag arrived.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in December 2020 booked for 3 nights, stayed for 5 nights. We stayed at the Carlton Hotel St Moritz following a year of cancelled trips during the global pandemic, choosing only based on the TA reviews and the fact that its part of the AMEX FHR and LHW, as well as the boutique factor over hotels such as Badrutt's Palace. We chose to get the train from Zurich to St Moritz, and was met at the train station by the Carlton complimentary car service. The Carlton is like a Swiss Fairytale, perfectly situated for romance, Alpine views and luxurious service. On arrival to our room, I was taken aback by the strong design but honestly it's part of the charm. The suite is incredibly large, with 2 balconies overlooking the lake and mountains. In fact the views are incredibly stunning, revealed by electronic controlled screens. The bathroom was clean and provided Molton Brown toiletries. As we were without our children, we enjoyed breakfast (delivered a la carte) in Romanoff with the appropriate COVID QR scan menus, including champagne, wonderful vegetable juices and some of the best French toast I have had in a while. We didn't have dinner at the Romanoff, but were able to have the most incredible tasting menu at Da Vittorio the 2 Michelin Star restaurant. We met the Head Chef, after what was a truly delectable meal, felt like 12 courses of heaven! Other evenings we enjoyed drinks and meal in the Carlton Lobby beside the fireplace. The hotel's location is central but secluded - you are only 5 minutes walk into the centre of town but high enough to feel right between the Alps, and surrounded by snowy scenes. We enjoyed the horseride with picnic basket (I wouldn't recommend getting the picnic as you end up near a restaurant which has mulled wine and Bratwurst) as well as sledging in Preda/Bergun - all activities can be organised with the hotel. Alisa was a great help prior to our arrival, and Michael helped during our stay. There are many activities to enjoy outside of skiing, including the above and the spa and pool facilities at the hotel. The outdoor pool in - degree weather is an experience and I had one of the best pedicures from Luna and massage from Joanna. I have to say that Christian was also quite helpful when booking treatments or navigating the spa and pool, and could be seen wiping down the door handles during this COVID era. Where it took a slight turn for us is that the UK was added to the ban list for most countries after our arrival. Which meant that our flights back to the UK were cancelled, and there was really no means for us to get from Switzerland to the UK before Christmas to be with our children. The Carlton team stepped into action where I became incredibly distressed and truly helped get us home. The GM whom we met on the first night Philippe Clarinval went above and beyond the call of duty, incredibly client centric to make the experience better for us, following our quarantine. He liaised with companies and government officials to get a permit so we could leave as well as organising a vastly reduced private plane to get us back to London. Even after landing in the UK and days afterwards, Alisa and Philippe made sure to keep in touch, and this kind of service during what could have been described as something out of a movie is why the Carlton is truly a 5* through and through. Outside of customer service, the WIFI is excellent, there is a kettle and Nespresso as well as ample amounts of water. There are sanitisers distributed everywhere, wearing masks is enforced to keep everyone safe, as is adequate social distancing practised. Next Winter season, we will be returning, our family of 4, and most likely every single Winter going forwards. We would rate the Carlton Hotel St.Moritz a 9.5/10.

Whenever my husband and I travel together, we are looking for pure luxury and The Carlton was just that! It is actually unbelievable how amazing every detail of our stay was! Initially, we were thinking of staying at Badrutt’s but we chose The Carlton because of the more updated and unique decor of the suites and the fact that they only have about 60 suites on property. This may not seem like an important detail, but it actually translates into the most attentive service I have ever received from any hotel I’ve ever stayed in—and I’ve stayed in a lot of 5-star hotels. The way every staff member greets you and extends help without asking, the way that they pay attention to everything you say and follow up on it—just wow! We were here during my birthday and they made my day so special with a surprise cake and champagne! They were never overbearing and were always right there. Even the bellman, the house car driver, all the restaurant hosts, waiters, waitresses— every damn body was just so on point! I just cant rave enough about The Carlton! The property and rooms are beautiful, but I really do believe that the staff at The Carlton make it that much more phenomenal!
