Hotel Sommerau AG

Stayed for business. A little out of the way to walk anywhere. On sight restaurant was very good and the service was very good as well. Rooms are OK as it is a drive up motel. Clean and neat. Ok for a few days stay with no complaints.

Not a romantic hotel, but for the price the room was clean and comfortable and the hotel restaurant was serving excellent food, if not for the hotel look and situation, I recommend it for the food. If I need to spend one night in Chur area I would definitely comeback to Sommerau.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are fairly basic but comfortable. The room cleaning is barely adequate and there is plenty of room for improvement. The restaurant opens from 06.30 which is good for an early start. The evening meals are excellent although the food does require constant guarding from flies. The hotel is close to plenty of shops and restaurants and the motorway is only a short distance away. The motel style means a parking space next to the room which is very good.

Stayed overnight on my way to Germany. Hotel has rooms away from the main building/restaurant in a motel style configuration (park in front of your room).Rooms are nice and comfortable with a good bathroom. Recommend if transiting or business in the area as its not in town (south at the beginning of Chur). Better options available if you want to be closer to the center. Good restaurant and a simple adequate breakfast is offered. Would have given it 4 stars but for the cost.

The hotel is located in about 1-2 km from Chur city center. It's well accessible with a car and each room has a parking place in front of the room. The buildings are extremely ugly looking from outside, but inside it's brand new and clean. Lenzerheide is less than 30 min dirve.
