The small town of Alibis in Zurich, Switzerland, is a far more remote retreat. It is a serene place where you can take many walks and be at rest. The modest room has everything you could possibly need. Unfortunately, when we got here in August, the weather was so warm and the room was lack of air conditioning, I almost could not fall asleep. If you don't use a fan or air conditioner, the fee is exorbitant. The employees were extremely courteous, and the breakfast buffet included cured sausages, sweets, and regional cheeses.

The grounds were great, and there is a chapel nearby. Wow, the views are spectacular in the sunshine. Nice gardens along the perimeter. What a shame that the staff was uncaring and argumentative. We have experienced numerous instances of this by observation or, unfortunately, through direct interactions. So enjoy yourself, but don't depend on the staff to make your visit great.

Despite having a quiet ambience, this place is very pleasant to stay, especially with a good local beer and simple food. The room was small, perfectly formed, and comfortable. No air conditioning or not. This was the first time I didn't miss the breathtaking scenery from this location. The air conditioning was quite warm in the room.

The room was basic but comfortable. The downside was the bathroom shower where water splashed over the floor. It was crazy, it was everywhere. We had an early train to catch and had to leave before our party departed on our bus. We reached base Wa Taxi Co before leaving the US for chf 140 for 4 people and their luggage. I had not confirmed the taxi and inquired at the front desk about another option. A young woman helped me book a service they use and his estimated price was chf 90 100 chf. It ended up chf 100 so much better than the 140. Breakfast was fine, we were rushed and just had time for coffee and the basics.

This place is amazing. A fantastic convent has been converted into a cozy, straightforward, and indispensable hotel. All rooms are spotless and tidy. This location, which was a convent, is quite serene and located in a small, typical Swiss village. There aren't many facilities in the rooms, so no unnecessary twirls. The most surprising aspect is the fact that this hotel is not far from Zurich's highway lavern. Thus, if you're traveling and searching for a quiet place to stay overnight, you only have to travel a few miles to discover a slice of deep Switzerland and sleep well in a historic convent.
